I seem to have the new model, both it october 14-15 and the new ps2 model's suppose to come out november 1st? I'm like wtf lol.

But honestly, its awesomely small its crazy~~!
My first PS console and it kick asses!

Just a smaller version of PS2 :| It is even worse than psone, at least for psone you get some substantial physical changes.

It is Sony's way of saving money

And I am happy with my ps2 thank you very much XD

(you wouldn't be a Sony secret agent trying to infiltrate AS to advertise, are you? XD )

nah it has stuff that the normal ps2 doesnt have. And the fack that the multitap doesn't work pisses me off lol

= they're gonna make stuff only compatible for ps2(R) not the old one.. from now from what i heared..

Wow, that is... incredibly slim. I've heard that one thing that the newer PS2 can't do is link with a hard drive, though. That'd prevent you from using HDLoader/HDAdvance, I suppose. A nice method to cut off one form of piracy, though some people did actually use those legitimately... if the new design makes the PS2s more difficult to mod, then perhaps the redesign truly did carry some intent of stopping game piracy.

Now, I wouldn't say this revamped version of the PStwo is that bad. They have put progressive scan in it and it also plays burnt dvds. Also, it actually works standing vertical now, cuz in the old version it would scratch up the discs if it stood up.
The reason I wouldn't buy one is very simple. I already have a dvd player on my computer. The old one still plays games just like the new one probably would too, but since the new one is progressive scan it might just load faster.
I would recommend it for other people who want to buy a PS2 though. Mainly because the price isnt that bad and it has some new features. Ever since the PSone came out with a revamped version. I knew this was going to happen.
