Has anyone read the Initial D manga at all? I only read a few chapters so far but I like it alot but thats probably because I thought the anime was great and im a car freak.

Anyways, I have a question i'd like to ask since i've been wondering if it would ever happen. Does Takumi race his father in the manga? I know they raced in the anime but it wasnt an offical challenge, I guess.

haven't bought/downloaded any tanks recently. Last thing i remember is Takumi's dad coming out of nowhere with his ride and completely owning Takumi on a downhill stretch while Takumi was practicing or something. Any official race? not sure.
