So they did end up including chapter 10 from the manga in the first half of the episode, while the second half covered chapter 13. The story takes a much more furious pace from here on...and it gets pretty confusing

. I can't wait for episode 9!

Contrary to some other comments, this was one of my favorite episodes. I absolutely loved the first part of the show, in which we got closer to the night class's society, and their individual feelings and desires. Especially desires. Great work by Minagawa Junko as Luca, I thought. And Ishii Kouji's voice was very strong as Ichijou's powerful granddad.

Having read the manga, I too look forward to next week.

well, many people consider zero a sexy beast, so why complain. anyways, we're on the eve of the second best arc of the series thus far!! rejoice.

this ep seemed a little slow compared to the others, but in the end, it is the balance to the other really fast ones this series has had. did anyone notice the animation quality dipped a little in this ep too?

Ok, not really.
It's just amusing and really shows Kaname's character (bad in my personal opinion)

And seeing Zero shirtless is always a PLUS,

I think the only times I have rated an episode less than 10 is if the animation really bugged me. Plotwise, everything is always flowing excellently. The animation is back to its original shoujo glory so 11/10.

Mirakuru Member Join Date: May 2007	Spoiler for ep8: I think this was a build-up episode of sorts, but nevertheless it was able to keep the tension by moving rather quickly. It combined the Ichiou chapter and the chapter about Zero's order from the Hunter Organization. But the part that distracted me the most was the end!! The appearance of a certain character basically confirms that the next arc will start next episode.. I'm so excited (this is my favorite story arc of the manga so far)!! I'm sure episode 9 will be great. But.. I never knew 'her' hair and eye color were both blue. xD For some reason, I always thought her eye and hair color were kinda apricot-ish. Ah, well~ ^^;; And.. was Nakahara Mai her seiyuu? I could've sworn it sounded just like her~ =O

dxgarten Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2006	Episode 08 screencaps/review Spoiler: I really enjoyed this episode mostly due to the elongated fight scenes between Shiki and that Level E vampire. Slightly disappointed with the hair color of the girl in the last scene (why purple?) because I thought it'd be blonde. Despite that, I'm still looking forward to the upcoming arc since that girl is one of my favorite characters in the series.

It was interesting to see the old vampire kissing Kaname's hand though (shivers >.>). And now it is Kaname's turn to be depressed (oh boy ). Westlo Lets be reality Join Date: May 2007	Spoiler: I expected they were going to combine 10 and 13 since 10 has some needed information and 13 ends on a nice little cliffhanger. Still 10 was boring in the manga and just as boring here, thankfully the last half featured some more Zero and Yuuki as well as a nice scene from Shiki .

Plotwise, everything is always flowing excellently. The animation is back to its original shoujo glory so 11/10. Spoiler for 8: The first half of the episode is basically filled with tension and emotional drama from Ruka then came Yuuki and everything picked up again. She just brightened the place. Her crushing tendencies here with the heartshaped towel is so cute. If she only knew Kaname had no idea what she was thanking him for lol I am also surprised that vampires are daywalkers here--sunset I can understand, but walking on broad daylight and without an umbrella? I didn't think the worst thing that can happen to them was a sunburn and not a pile of ash. I have more to say about the other characters but all I can remember now is that Zero and Kaname are certified swoon materials. I don't think Shizuka's hair is purple. :\| Her hair looked more like Zero's haircolor to me.
