A little more info regarding these folks from the ANN post:
 From left to right: "...Chitan, the main vocalist and pianist whose parents are both famous musicians. 'With my piano, I spin the world.' "Orion, the violinist and de facto band leader. 'The glittering finest gold, noblesse oblige!' "Seren, the bass guitarist and son of a 'cosmic-level' major group leader. "Arugon, the drummer. "Arcareafact is a new ikemen (handsome) band debuting with the major label Judas. All of the members are super-rich, and they formed the band after joining the label. At their first live concert, they declared that they are absolutely not the typical idol singers: 'We aren't idols, but artists.' "Takahiro Ikezoe is returning from the original Show By Rock!! series to direct the anime at Bones. Touko Machida, who wrote the scripts for the first eight episodes of the original anime, is handling the series composition. "The main cast members — including the characters from the Plasmagica, Shingan Crimsonz, Tsurezure Naru Ayatsuri Mugenan, Trichronika, and Criticrista bands — are returning from the first season. Yuji Ueda is also returning to play Mable Arisugawa."

Well episode 1 aired today.
Personally, I think the music is better than the first season at the moment. We'll have to see. The CGI stuff was exactly what I had anticipated as well. Oh that cliffhanger got me laughing.

So sad...how could this episode end like that? A future robot comes to get Cyan and doesn't say "come with me if you want to live?"
 But yeah, a solid episode. They are having a lot of fun here. Time traveling ninja squad, galactic armada with a Death Star, Dagger back, and just a lot of craziness  . Should make for a fun season.Also I still think that song they sung at the end works best like that. The upbeat version is ok, but it works better as a kind of quietly building song. Good start.

This is my first experience with this show
And my first impression is DISGAEA IS THAT YOU!!!?? Having time traveler, evil queen, a black elvis presley and etc the randomness in this world is crazy like Disgaea. |

Interesting. A future doomsday scenario that must be averted. BTW, the evil girls look cute, so hopefully they'll be rescued and turned good. All cute girls must be saved, after all. Those are the rules.
 Relatively little Cyan in this first episode, but we can see how much she misses these people that she spent such an unforgettable part of her life with. That song was absolutely perfect, with all four of them at that moment feeling the same thing: their hearts connected despite being worlds apart. Of course, missing everyone doesn't mean Cyan's eager to have a giant robot appar in her room and kidnap her. I think she'd much prefer to be able to visit them in a more controlled fashion, but that's not the sort of life she leads, unfortunately. She doesn't generally get to do stuff; stuff happens to her, and she then has to figure out how to deal with it. Oh, almost forgot to mention, but I definitely feel sorry for Criticrista. Those poor girls have every reason to be terrified out of their minds at Dagger's return.

They had some really bad experiences  .That song just works. I much prefer it when sung in that kind of sombre tone. Where you can really pick out the emotions they are feeling. They are connected, although in the end they still would rather be together than apart. All of them hurting in their own way. Which makes me wonder how this will wrap up. Even if they have another adventure it doesn't take away from the fact that they probably will be ripped apart again by the end. They need to figure out a stable means of dimensional travel .

That was a delightful and effective first episode. Talk about upping the ante though ... yeesh. Also ... black hole canons? O_o And with a pychotic Devilukian Sleeping Beauty Witch succubus space empress mishmash/ripoff who has such a thing (not to mention a humongous fleet of starships). Yeah ... things look ... rather grim this time around. Totally looking forward to this season!

man, i told you guys that it wasn't a good idea to let Dagger go free, he must be put in prison!!, but season 2's plot might not kick start or it will start even without him anyways without him even forming an alliance with the Queen of Darkness,
am i the only one here who finds the time traveling ninja robot's design screams Big Volfogg from GaoGaiGar? also its a shame they didn't pull a Terminator reference line because of the concept.
