T_T.... I want to get more Wii Channel and Updates.
On another note, it didn't take long before some prick company starts to leech off Nintendo's profits. Nintendo are being sued! http://kotaku.com/gaming/wii/interli...ote-220319.php This is just sad, sadly no more information available. ________ VERMONT DISPENSARIES Last edited by Itachikun; 2011-02-15 at 08:48. |

well, i dont like those companies either but its not like the big video game makers are saints that do good in the world.
nintendo has a LONG history of suing people. even for silly things like controllers they have to have patents and such and charge lots of money for it. if you think back to the wireless infra red days, nintendo did not invent those things. also, the wavebird is marvelous, but again, nintendo is using someone elses' technology. |

after looking at the patent in more detail, i've cooled off abit and it seems to me, (from a Product Designers viewpoint) the patent only relation to the Wii-mote is that it has the B-button (which is pushed like a trigger ) and it looks like a remote.
I think they mistaken that the movable pointer was operated by an active infrared transmitter in the wii-mote. In actual fact the Wii-mote has a passive Infrared RECIEVER, it does not transmit via the front port, it merely use it to trianglate it's position in relation to the screen, coupled with the information feedback from the digital 3D sensors. The "infringed" patent, features no 3D sensors, nor a passive Infrared RECIEVER. I can't say that its going to be go Nintendo's way, but it sure looks optimistic

Sigh... bad news for Europeans who wanted to import a US Wii and get best picture quality using RGB:
http://nfggames.com/wiki/doku.php?id...ulti_av_pinout US Wii does S-Video but no RGB. PAL Wii does RGB but no S-Video. Both will do component, which is (nearly) as good as RGB, but sadly my TV does not have component inputs. I'm not sure if I should simply live with S-Video (which as far as I recall [it's been a while since I last tried] is pretty crappy compared to RGB) or if I'll upgrade my TV. Though I don't really have the space in my room for a potentially bigger TV. Argh... |

Yeah, I know like 6 or 7 people who own a Wii, have friends over all the time, and none of us have had any broken wrist straps, televisions, windows, arms, heads, or anything of the sort. Everyone who seems to be having these problems seem to be incredibly careless, or get far too excited.

Actually it's pretty noticeable for me when I look at the wii menu or even check the wii options menu, even in red steel when I look at a bright light, it's not thw wii's problem it's my TV's. Anyway back to the point, I understand your porblem and I think you should try s-video before buying another TV I personally just live with the phrase "Live with what you got" .

My eyes aren't very good, anyway (near-sighted coupled with a good color deficiency that makes my brain think subtely different shades are the exact same color), so I just use the HDTV budget elsewhere. I even bought an S-video cable for my Gamecube and PS2, and I swear that I didn't notice a lick of difference, so now I just muddle along with the old yellow, white, and red jacks :P

ordered a component cable. glad i waited for the 15th, i was tempted to buy one off ebay, but they simply rip you off. thing about component cable, is that it just make things look much more SHARPER which is a blessing when you have tired eyes! lol colours are clearer as well, for 480p im quite inpressed. to be honest, when i saw Xbox 360 HD graphics, i thought it was a pc game, i mean once you been playing with pc games, it looks really like that. But after playing zelda without it, and then suddenly switch to component, you really notice the change. how nice.
