YES! YES! YES!

Oh, so that was the imouto. I saw several of the glimpses of someone following them, but I didn't connect who it was.

I am referring to the period they didn't have any special powers, like the MC here.

Takeshi@ MahouSensou carried a girl to the infirmary (first fight that he has magical powers)
Hiyori@Noragami becomes roadkill (saving a perfect stranger who would not have been killed like her with the force of the impact). Wakes up and tadah, she has supernatural powers.

So no, I do not see them behaving better than Takamiya, who could have carried a girl to the infirmary in a similar situation. Takamiya would not have tried to save someone dumb enough to be roadkilled because he is in hot pursuit of a cat, but he did his best to save the little girl in danger in episode 2.

This witch is basically, or almost unbeatable. The burning in the stake scene is hilarious. Man, nice way to make those look funny.

man i never paiyed attention to this in manga until, anime make more clear who their are being followed by "someone", really the writer is a genious, when come to this lol

man this is what i call a really "good adaptation" who at last try to stay faithfull to the source, is more like i watching a animated version of the manga who is what i really call "awesome" unlike the other show mahou where their changed/rushed/cuted allmost everything in 1 episode.

it's not like i dont like changes but make then in the right place and right moment, not "random" or just for "boobs bounce" sake fanservice.

this really gonna be one of my favorite shows on this season.

You are forgetting that Hiyori saved a perfect stranger at the cost of her own life, and Takeshi fended of a giant meat cleaver with a shinai (according to the anime or a broomstick more realistically according to the source). Our hime here only tried to save a little girl and failed

Dunno, the definition of a damsel in distress, and it's as annoying with the gender swap as the original

Someone dumb enough to put their life in peril (he jumped into a street full of moving cars chasing a cat) does not deserve to be saved at the cost of one's life, they deserve a Darwin Award. So Hyori's action was not cool/heroic, quite the opposite, it was plain dumb.

... since he was in the kendo club, he used said skill to parry his opponent strikes. Takamiya does not have any extraordinay skills and if Takeshi was not very good at kendo his only real option would have been run or surrender (just like Takamiya).

*facepalm* He did not failed, had he not moved the giant scissors would have injured the little girl.

So caring about others is a qualification for a darwin award... great times

I don't know what sort of society you come from, but... no. She saw someone who wasn't paying attention about to get hit by a bus, so she tried to save him. That's just something people should do. Yeah, she yelled at him for not paying attention afterwards, but there's a world of difference between chewing someone out for doing something stupid, and just letting them die.

There is a clear line between saving a life (doctors, nurses, life guards and law enforcement do this on a regular basis without risking their own) and putting your own life at risk just because someone is dumb. If said dumb person is a important I can understand you risking your life to save him/her. But risking your life for a dumb stranger? Have you even thought about the devastating blow your death would deal to your loved ones? Unless you are trying to say no one would care if you died, which is plain sad.

Ah I see, the "Honoka" is useless ravings have started to begin. What, because hes been living a normal life, ignoring bullies then all of a sudden he gets hit by a falling building and is thrown in the middle of a battle of witches, so hes expected to beat them down?. If I recall, the next complaints will be why the females are stronger than the males..... If you want the main character as a swordmaster, magician, exorcist, gunslinger or brawler, then you are watching the wrong anime.

I think its good enough that Honoka asks Ayaka to teach him some basic magic, and it does pay off. Even if its only a little.

I have to say I am actually quite impressed its sticking close to the source material. I never realized in episode 1, Ayaka tied his tie wrongly in a bow like hers. I thought that was hilarious, makes me want to go back and check sometime. One other thing after watching the 2nd episode. I had always thought Kasumi had blonde like hair... not maroonish, I guess that happens when reading too much black and white <.<

Have you thought about the devastating blow the other person's death would deal to their loved ones? The world isn't all about me or about you. Everyone is a person, and who the hell are we to decide if someone is "important" or not?! Your perspective on this is sounding more and more horrifying the more you try to defend it.

I have full authority to decide who is or not important when my own life is at stake, if you will risk repeatedly your life for every stranger that chases a cat into a street full of moving cars, well, you have free will to do so, but that does not change the fact that doing so is careless to say the least. You might call it "your perspective", but that is real life. This does not mean that people should not attempt to help your fellow man if thy have the chance, but expecting people to risk their lives just because you do something really dumb is plain childish.
