I recently completed my collection of the reprint edition of Hoshi no Pilot (also by Sasamoto-sensei), and I am disappointed by the editing works and number of illustrations, especially in the final volume. >_>

Oh, Yousei Sakusen (latest reprint) also doesn't have illustrations, except for the front covers.
Anime when? Next year is going to be the 30th anniversary

I am thanking myself for not jumping straight in and subscribe to Comic Alive. MoPi official twitter says that info regarding the new manga and movie are going to be in the magazine, but not even 2ch has anything to say. Not to mention the preview for next Comic Alive also doesn't have anything regarding new MiniPi/MoPi manga.

I guess the new novel and manga will coincide with new info of the movie.

Indeed, quite a considerable difference between the covers of Volumes 1 and 10.

Time slip was caused by the Super Luminal Booster, and I forgot where the nickname came from.

Yes it is a one volume arc, although Sensei can just revisit volume 10 for future reference.

For instance

Black Baba (Old Hag) presented the order from Ship Registrar ordering the Yacht Club to either convert Odette II to Class I (FTL-able ship) or dispose the Booster.
Rin looked forward to connecting the booster, as connecting a Super Luminal Booster would unlock certain files, just like the SOS signal from Black Swan.

When I read those lines, a question popped in my head regarding when Odette II was attached with Super Luminal Booster during the Crimson Pirate-Jackie Arc (vol 4 - 6). I wondered why Rin didn't take a look at those files.
In vol 10, Rin said those files were unlocked previously, but then gave the reason because they were in a state of battle, that she couldn't copy the files.

Vol 10 indeed was with editing errors, that I needed to check the dictionary if I'm reading the novel properly. Thus, my memory with vol 10 is quite blurred.
All I can say is that It felt like we haven't met for 120 years was the end of the book.

Vol 09, IMO. It reminds me of how a student should be: Ask questions. Though there were other happenings that took my interest.

One of my favorite scene is when Marika was brought to Serenity in "accusation" of kidnapping the Princess. Gruelle was thinking of keeping Bentenmaru crews safe on her planet while gathering intel.
Marika asked if she should say "Saa, Kaizoku no Jikan da!!!" towards the big-shots and royalties when the heroines attended an Evening Party. It was the first instance in the novel that include the catch-phrase from the anime.

Oh, and the parties are everyday that they tired Chiaki. Black Beard said that even a guerrilla warfare in unexplored planet is better than attending those parties

Through a convenience called the Internet, it looks like there will be a big announcement in the next issue of Comic Alive. It is not stated here at the Comic Alive official site, but in the early pages of this month issue.

....I really hope it will be something, because I really hate it when there is going to be "an announcement for an announcement".

I had a feeling that was the case - thanks for confirming it. Was it just the booster malfunction by itself or were there any other known contributing factors? Also, did any predestination paradox elements appear or were they avoided?

Indeed, it is quite annoying when that happens.

A few minor questions:

• Regarding the Chimera, is it the case that its crew isn't able to use it to its full potential?
• Is it also the case that both sides made use of certain conditions and loopholes regarding possession of the Barbaroosa in V9?
• Were any additional details regarding the incident which started the events of V3 revealed?
• Out of the unanimated space battles, which is your favourite?

Vol 11 release date is going to be February 7th 2014. I think this is quite strange as the previous novels from Asahi were released usually on the last 10 days of the month.

I also believe that that is part of Vol 11 cover illustration.

Does seem a little strange - I suppose it might be to take advantage of the build-up to the movie's release date.

The novel release date should not be close to the movie, as the novel is a tad expensive compared to other LN. Also, the manga version of the movie will
likely reduce people eagerness to watch the movie.

The movie itself is going to be premiered on a terrible date (PS4 launch date). Unless the Japanese have extra money to burn to watch something that is probably similar to Golden Ghost Ship Arc, or any previous Sci-fi works, I don't see the MoPi movie is going to do well, at least for the first week of screening.

IMO, Sensei should move back to novel like the likes of HoshiPi and Hoshi Kara Kita Mono. The feelings of the 90s and 60s suit him better than the far future.

I'm going to be crazy and translate it as Trigger-happy Time Pirates. .
That is after going two layers of translation and synonym.
Of course, モーレツ was used back in the 60s to describe hard-working employees and salaried-men.

I've delayed picking up vol 11 from my local Kino once I saw a reader twitted to Sensei regarding an inconsistency in the story line, and Sensei replied back to check the editor.

Still haven't read it. I hope the number of technicalities are not reduced since the volume looked so short.
