I actually thought the first episode was pretty good. At least it remembered who the MC is. I confess I don't have much faith, based on the treatments this staff gave the first season, but I'll give it a chance.

who cares, there are bunch of full djinn equip showoff in this arc and it will get animated, so why not? fanservice fanservice fanservice

The episode was pretty good. They're doing their best to clean up the mess they created at the end of S1. We're pretty much back on track now. Hopefully they won't repeat the same mistakes and will stick to the manga from now on.

The bit before the opening left me at a loss...did they just "spoil" the events that will happen during/towards the end of this arc? (Not a manga reader, so I was twice as shocked

)

The episode itself was good. If anything, I missed this series' humor.

I watched season 1 and I was a huge fan of it, I thought it was great.
I guess if you read the manga and compared it with the anime, the season could have been better.
The first episode of this season is great, though the beginning with spoiler-ish, I didn't mind.
So Aladdin is going on his own journey. I feel that Morgiana will do the same and so will Alibaba.

The first half was enjoyable, the second half was rather boring. I also forgot how easy it is to tell the differences between the characters when they're inked in colour.

Okay! This is going on my 2nd tier show but it should be a fun ride. At least I know that I'm going to enjoy the ladies this season as much as Aladdin-boy is.

Kind of hard to separate at this point, ESPECIALLY due to the hack job that happened at the end of the first season. What's worse, just to rub in the fact that the staff knew they'd messed up, part of this episode conveniently tiptoes around the anime-only change done (Emobaba) to return to what happened in the manga (mainly Dunya).

Also, that beginning. That arc just finished barely a month ago, and we get they show it at the START of the new season? Oi.

I don't really see the problem. Something similar happened in Naruto Shippuuden, and that worked.

The opening is perhaps an attempt to say, we are going to follow the original plot until that point at least. I hope.............
