Wait, we're getting a Pro spinoff? FINALLY a good way to use all those pros we've been introduced to over the course of the finals, and maybe... see "adult" relations? Show the little girls how it's REALLY done, yes?

It's a prequel, man. We'll be seeing them as high schoolers.

As high schoolers huh... But wouldn't that limit things to Harue's generation then, as everyone else we've been introduced to are much younger than they are (Fukuji is 27 for example, while Uta is 24)? That would be kind of a shame.

That said, young Hayarin? What would be the difference, except perhaps much perkier boobs?

I can actually see myself not liking that, since it would be quite mean to her opponents, unintentional as it might be. Just imagine her going "o-ok, m-maybe this will work" while everyone else in the table basically go "OH GOD PLEASE, MAKE IT STOP! WHY!?". And remember, Igarashi is pretty good with the trauma faces.

Pro meeting in real time: picking out players who performed particularly well as possible candidates for the world junior championships?

This ties back to Fujita's purpose for the 4 school Nagano training camp, why Fujita and Kubo are at Inter High, the strange rules to pick out 'lucky' players, and of course, why Rinkai is now required to field at least one Japanese player.

It's certainly a surprise to see that the pros that we know actually played against each other in their high school days. Risa being from Shindouji is a nice touch; do we know any other pro which is from one of the schools that supppsedly have a strong mahjong tradition?

Also, can anyone translate what's being said in the spoiler images?

You know, with how Fujita-pro mentioned about the change of rules for the present tournament in favor of those with abilities, maybe we can deduce what changes are there from this prequal side story.
