I loved the way they addressed the fact that Platy looks nothing like a platypus.
The broccoli shootout was also wonderful. Family characters in anime often just fade into the background and don't do much, so it's good to see Momoka's mum is just as crazy as she is. |

Holy shit! I did not expect the mother to be so competent! I was thinking this was going to be a dull episode with no real gun fight, but the moment she pulled out her gun, I was like: WTF! This is almost at the level of Samurai Flamenco absurdness! It was so amazing. First she takes out the lights and then outsmarts her own daughter. Well done! The apple does not fall far from the tree, and the tree won.

I wasn't really expecting much from this anime but im loving it. their cute act really does hide a dark side. I do not want to cross or annoy Momoka. her solution to defeat the guy at the arcades was great. that battle where she didn't get the hint to take about cosplay ended very ruthlessly. im glad they're not using real guns in the show or there would be a staggering body count by now.

This anime is teaching me to throw away any sportsmanship and just destroy everything. Rules are for Wimps.
BTW, I know some people actually dances to OP/EDs, so... have anyone here tried dancing the ED dance? LOL Last edited by chaos_animagic; 2014-07-28 at 18:05. |

I am usually a bit weary when encountering an anime talking about small arms or imitations of small arms. This is mainly due to anime's inability to accurately depict their form & function. This is despite Japan's obsession with airsoft, which many top companies are capable of artfully replicating real-life counterparts with intricate, uncanny detail. Therefore, I cannot help but to think people would at least have some idea of how real weapons work, but somehow the details are lost in these types of shows.
And I thought I was going to be turned off by the first episode, due to the aforementioned reason. Fortunately for me, I continued watching. Why? Because this.show.is.funny! I love Sonokawa, she is adorable! And shows like this should be silly! - Tak (Welp, anyone seen Stella Academy C3-bu?)

This anime is a comedy with airsoft guns; if you've heard of Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3, the basic concept is similar, since airsoft guns take centre stage, but contrasting Stella Women's Academy, High School Division Class C3, comedy seems to be at the forefront. If you haven't seen this yet, giving it a shot and watching the first three episodes to decide whether it suits you or not couldn't hurt. If you've seen a few episodes before, that's for you to decide!

Episode 2: No one ever died in survival games.
Not quite true I witnessed the death of a participant due to heat stroke couple years ago. Wasn't a pretty sight. - - - - - But anyway, yeah, this show draws comparison to C3, but while C3 focused on tactics and weapons, Sabagebu focuses on comedy, and its quite funny. C3 was unbelievable throughout, the fact that a bunch of high school girls took out a group of marines without suffering loss in a session was a bit much for me to bear. Note, they didn't do this with super human abilities either, which is usually what happens. Yeah, Sabagebu is funny, and silly. A show like this one should be rooted in its silliness. Taking it too seriously like C3 would erode its enjoyment. Although Japanese mili-Otakus tend to take it quite seriously. So much that they never cease to amuse me. - Tak

I watched Upotte, and C3 and this show is way ahead of those 2. It does not take it self seriously, the main heroin is a riot and vindictive and even though the technical parts of the
gun and gun play are sloppy in animation, at least they have proper trigger control. |
