That was a fun finale.
Spoiler:
Overall, I would say it is Symphogear's weakest finale but I'll wait till I see subs. Though there is a sequel hook at the end. That being said, DMJii's EX-Drive has to be the most amusing and glorious thing I've ever seen.

In my opinion, GX felt rushed overall and could have benefitted from a few more episodes (and a lack of executive meddling which seemed to have happened during the writing process).

Glorious Break, basically sums up what i want to say LoL.
Not half bad. First half may seem a bit rush, but in fact it is pretty match together with the songs and scene. Especially op song came up same time the giant lion starting to explode, watching the whole thing in HD sure to be Glorious Break LoL. My compliment to Carol with her belief of songs cant save everyone/things at the very end of falling and reject Hibiki's help. Well Hibiki will still save her anyway. And holy sh!t, Elfnien's voice of dainslef when Hibiki activate the mode. Cute voice i guess? Pretty scene with Elfnien and Carol, with both half broken merge into one. Yes our Miku, at least we get a hug from her T.T Believe in Justice and Hold a Determination to Fist =@

I love the breast touching combination of TsubasaxMaria, it was so wicked! The yuri moment at the end for Carol and Elfien is kinda cute.

Wow it's actually over. Good action in the finale although the fight felt predictable. Glad to see they played the OP theme song for this season one last time though as it has become one of my favorites.
Yay for happy ending

Mahou Shoujo Incident . At least they are set up pretty well for another season if they end up going that route. Why not after all. Have had Alchemists and a soul traveling priestess as threats, anything can happen.
The X-Drive modes this time were even more hilarious than the previous seasons. I mean the Tsubasa and Maria 'docking' attack, Kirika and Shirabe piloting some hilarious video game contraption, Carol turning into a giant zoid, and of course the glorious break . It may not have felt that long, but really it's not too far off of last season's length in X-Drive. Just in that case the X-Drive mode hit in the last 10 minutes of the last episode. Last season they didn't really worry about epilogues and just had the fight end it, while this time they started with the fight so they could wrap up things at the end. Different approaches. In the end glad Carol wasn't actually saved. All that happened is that they saved Elfnein really. Carol paid the price of being unable to accept what she was hearing and burning every memory she had. Left a shell with fragmented memories. Made sense to basically just have Elfnein's consciousness transferred to Carol's body. Carol does kind of get a last act of good, but it doesn't actually save her which is about how it should be. I wouldn't even say she was redeemed to the level Fine was, this was just a last good act before dying kind of thing. Some solid epilogues. Suppose we never did actually find out how Chris was in school, so kind of funny that she can take it easy over the break since she is pretty sharp. Hmm not sure what I think on the pacing for the last ep. It didn't bother me, but I wouldn't have minded more action. It was half the ep already so I probably wouldn't ask for that much more, but a couple more minutes wouldn't have been bad.

Just got done watching...Many mixed emotions.
First off, Hibiki's epic punching of that dragon-thing while Glorious Break played was epic. (Also, here's a miracle; "Glorious Break" is on the tracklisting for Nana Mizuki's November 11 CD release, according to CDJapan, so unlike "Radiant Force" at least I can actually buy the song. Seriously, nothing annoys me more than soundtracks that they only release as pack-ins with the video release.) Carol's dad's memories popping up with the other half of his instructions to her at the critical moment just served to drive home the fact that Carol is either (a) the most epic dumbass in the history of dumbassery, or (b) yet another supposed woobie. I'm sorry, but she's exactly the equivalent of some guy who gets fired from his job so he goes and shoots up a McDonald's until the cops gun him down. That's not a sympathetic person, that's a dangerous whackjob. The fact that we're apparently supposed to sympathize with her pain and forgive her and want to save her and all that really, really does not resonate with me. At some point, there's a threshold of mass murder where, y'know, I stop feeling sorry for the person and start pointing out that people in emotional pain can still make good decisions. And you know what else? It's a fucking slap in the face to everybody in life who goes through hardship and tragedy and suffering and loss and yet doesn't decide to make everyone else around them into a victim. (That said, I do kind of understand why the Symphogear-wielders do not follow that. Hibiki is Hibiki; she wants to save everyone, and four out of the six were all villains themselves before turning around.) ...I honestly have no idea if the entity at the end is Elfnein, Carol, or a synthesis of the two of them in some sort of "we cannot exist alone but we can be put back together." I hope it's Elfnein; she was a good person and did her best. Big cues for fourth season! All in all, there was a lot to like about GX. The writing was...okay, it was kinda bad (I will say that watching G has made me more sympathetic to the portrayal of the individual character conflicts including Hibiki's early-season breakdown, though the whole thing in the second half where they had a run of episodes with "Next protagonist in line has a personal conflict! Autoscorer attacks! Protagonist has epiphany that resolves personal crisis! Ignite mode used, and Autoscorer is defeated!" was just bad. I understand that shows like Nanoha and Symphogear deliberately use the narrative structure of Sailor Moon-esque magical girl shows while playing to the otaku audience with fanservice, violence, and shiptease upgrades, but there's a time to remember that your actual audience is not made up of eight-year-olds.). The characters were actually pretty neat--I wished we'd gotten more time with the Autoscorers and their personal conflicts with their opposite numbers. I have to give them props, though, for Hibiki using her Ignite Mode to save Carol at the end. I did not expect her to put the power of the cursed sword of murder to use at the final moment to pull off her final victory. Of course, thematically this dark power was associated with Elfnein, so it was Elf's victory as much as Hibiki's but that made it work even better. GX seemed to spend more time accomplishing less than the other series; for whatever reason, it felt like S1 and G both had more happen, or at least what happened was better fleshed-out and explained. As an odd side note, I have to say that I really liked the visuals for Carol's alchemy superpowers throughout the series. And, of course, the music was generally awesome. And Hibiki continues to punch things that should not be punchable.

I was actually laughing a bit at the mech action going on with Maria, Shirabe, and Kirika; Maria with funnels/DRAGOONs (even making similar beam spamming sounds) and Shirabe + Kirika making some sort of weird pincer beetle-style mech, literally piloting it together.
