Hmm, that's a bit of a misconception. It depends what you mean by "Free market". If we had something more resembling socialism, these dolls probably wouldn't cost quite so damn much to begin with :P There are lots of little "Inefficency" and "Fat cats must get a cut of everything" costs with capitalism that bump up the cost of things like this.

Well, on Ebay they often have the key chain ones (2 kinds) and they also have the palm figures http://www.nutsforanimefigures.com/i...=111&Itemid=26 , though they are quite a bit of money.

Are just arguing to be ignorant here? I mean seriously... You seem to like x item, and it exists for you to purchase, should you so wish. I on the other hand prefer item z, and it too is available for me to purchase, as I desire. As to what you're getting at...I have no idea. I've offered my commentary, and laid out the options here as I see them...and you keep comming back with disention and nit picking. You're not happy with what's out there? You miss Communist Russia? What exactly is it you're trying to say at this point? |

I'm saying that some countries do not have as open markets(in the sense that companies participating in said market are not as free to do what they like as under capitalism), but have a higher standard of living because of the measures that cause this as a side effect. Quote:
Also I can't seem to find any clear pics of those keychain ones. Last edited by Kittie Rose; 2007-02-28 at 13:40. |

I know the only action figures were those Dollgures made in 2005 or so, but are there any of the mini things that have a small amount of posability? Like can turn their heads and move their arms up and down...
Also I can't seem to find any clear pics of those keychain ones. |

For instance, the Transformers 3" Titaniums can swivel their waist heads and arms but they're not "action figures" by today's standards. |

Rozen Maiden Ouverture DVD is a Hit ... Very Good for a "Niche" Anime about Dolls
Going by DVD weekly sales rankings and sales figures in Japan according to Oricon for February 19, 2007 to February 25, 2007, the Rozen Maiden Ouverture (with Suigintou no Koyoi mo Ennu~i CD) Limited Edition DVD, during its first week of release, sold 10,355 copies.
No other Rozen Maiden DVD has sold at least 9,000 - let alone 10,000 - copies during their first week of release in Japan. The Rozen Maiden Ouverture Limited Edition DVD appears to be on its way to becoming the bestselling DVD among all Rozen Maiden DVDs in Japan. A Rozen Maiden Ouverture Regular Edition DVD also went on sale during the same week. An anime DVD is widely considered to be a commercial hit in Japan if it sells 10,000 copies.
