I've just started watching Avatar, the Last Airbender and I find it very exciting. Although animation-wise, it's close, but not to par with Japanese series, it has probably a better mix of action and comedy than most of the action/comedy anime. There's no fillers, it's straightforward, and the action scenes are quite good. It has an interesting plot and very funny at times, and I'm looking forward to more of it.

Which is the best animated/cartoon series which is not an anime?

Right now I can only say South Park, it doesn't stand out for animation quality

, but its way and humour are unequaled!

Sitcom-wise it's Family Guy for me, but cartoon-wise I'll have to say Avatar: The Last Airbender, even though I'm quite pissed at the latter at the moment.

If only I had all this stuff on TV... I doubt I would have started watching anime. South Park is the only non-dubbed american show I have ever seen.
