The first episode was great. I noticed a mixed between the first two chapters of the manga during the episode.

I noticed that they made the ending look very much like a ren'ai game. Quite a nice touch, and results in a lot of pretty screenies.

Some of the gags (and even a full chapter of the manga) depend on your ignorance of their ages!

Indeed and you may notice in Nagasarete Airantou age has no say over how a character must look, i mean look at suzu compared to machi, or even Yukino's mother who acts and behaves alot younger than she is.

I can think of two different girls that I went to middle school who had D cups and another that I'm pretty sure did as well ... so it's not really that unusual (I was in a class of 60 something students).

Volume 9 had a little snippet on the results of what looks like a fan favorite character poll.

#1 was Suzu. #2 was Ikuto. #3 goes to Ayane. It didn't show #4 for some reason, but #5 was Machi.

So did I, in my time.

As rooboy pointed out, it's not as rare as some claim to be. The only thing anime series do exagerate might be the quantity of such precoceous girls.

I can name a famous girl who underwent breast reduction surgery at the tender age of 15 because her bust size was unusually large for her frame.

On the other extreme, I have an officemate who's in her mid twenties (she's a manager of a department), but has the appearance of a pre-teen (she's barely 4 feet tall, and almost sub A-cup bust). In fact she even exhibited the naivety of a youngster at one point (she talked about the time she was with her male-cowerkers and hearing about some really dirty man-talk from them, and she even admitted asking her father about those things, which made everyone laugh).

Sailor Enlil GWAAAA! Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Philippines	Spoiler: If Rin is indeed 19, she sure acts like a teen/highschooler when she's all dere-dere. Plus in my opinion, her body is not that well developed yet to be an adult (i.e. she doesn't look that old to me, which is a plus ) as in Kaede of Negima (who shares her seiyuu) looks more developed in my opinion, and Kaede's like 14 if I'm not mistaken.
