I predicted this! Well...it wasn't that hard. I mean Sekirei got an anime. So why not this?
I haven't read this in a while but it's pretty fun. Question: Are there two different ways on reading the title? Cause Mangaupdates says "Ashita no Yoichi

The surprise announcement for this year's TBS Anime Festa was the unveiling of Asu no Yoichi!
Guest VAs were Satou Rina (Ibuki), Tomatsu Haruka (Ayame), Tamura Yukari (Chihaya), and Hanazawa Kana (Kagome). Artist megrock was also introduced, where she sang the OP, "Egao no Riyuu". Although the anime premiere isn't until January, a screening of episode 1 (sans OP/ED) was held. Spoiler for synopsis of Episode 1:
Since this was a surprise announcement, I saw the screening withouth any prior knowledge of the manga. Nevertheless, the premise is clear cut, so it wasn't necessary at all. Episode 1 served as the introduction, so I guess things will move on from here. This is the first series directing work for Kujou Rion, so there is some cause for concern.

I am amazed that an anime for this series is being made. I'm putting it on my list of anime to watch in the future. I remember reading the manga, which was fun. And after I found out that there wasn't a thread, I started the manga thread for it. Here's the link for it.

Official site open. No real comments... except I had a strange urge to throw a rock at the screen when I looked at the green-haired girl. The rest... looks normal... I just hope it doesn't crash and burn at the end like Bamboo Blade.

I don't like how anime now relies so much on manga for sources of shows. Manga is manga for a reason, because the creator obviously thought it was either too much work or it didn't fit in the first place to be an anime. Though things usually convert to the other after awhile, anime made anime is still better than manga made anime just like how anime that turns into manga is usually fail as well like Geass.
Bigger issue is that series like this usually get animated when it's not even close to finishing. It's dumb. Then when the anime starts, it has so little content to work with, and therefore it just gets Tora dora'd aka offers nothing the manga couldn't have done just as well. |

Eh? You seem to be missing the big picture. All these people are in it for the money, any way they can go about promoting some material just means more potential revenue for them. Whereas solely releasing either anime or manga wouldn't gather nearly as much publicity. Such is this case with this particular series, had it not been for the announcement of the manga being adapted into an anime series I would never have known about the manga, nor thought twice to read it.
If you don't like certain adaptations, there's no law or rule saying you have to expose yourself to it. I don't like dubbed anime. I don't watch dubbed anime. End.
