Although I think the most important thing is the art instead of the code itself. Face it, if a renai game doesn't have characters you like or feel attracted to, you won't really enjoy playing it :P

I've seen this game (err, "designer"), and the art doesn't look exactly look very impressive (beyond the cover art).

A date sim engine is VERY easy to code.
