I hope Bell get a new weapon. Dual knives aren't bad, however with bosses it is a poor match up. I seen Bell use many types of weapons (sword, shield, spear) but I think the best secondary weapon for Bell is a two handed sword.

I just want Bell to experiment with new weapons.

Two handed swords don't really suit Bell's fighting style though.

Yeah, sure, let's have a character which fighting style is based on speed, dodging the enemy and having his attacks difficult to read ... use a two handed sword that will make him slower, very predictable and less able to dodge. Totally fitting, definitely the second best choice he could make for weapons. i mean what could go wrong?

Dual dagger is an option with one hestia knife and the other being welf's new magic weapon that doesnt break.
Then he could learn from a certain black cat. With his butt as payment for the training...

For some reason I thought of the Chicken Knife from FF5 (the strongest knife in the game) as Bell’s secondary knife. It has an attack of +1 but goes up to +127(I think that was it) by constantly escaping from battle (attack goes up by +1 for each time you escape) as well as increasing the weilder’s speed.

Yeah, pretty hard to imagine Bell carrying a sword around. Especially big ones. A sword would slow him down.
I see Bell is more of a Thief-class if we were to classify him from old RPG job occupation (classes among warrior, thief, mage, etc). Though a very powerful thief type.

A thief-class would wear light armour, uses knife or short sword, and most of the time is very quick. So along with Bell using a sword as main or secondary weapon, I really can't imagine him wearing heavy armour either.

Second season anime is confirmed for summer 2019, which pretty much confirms Vol 15 & 16 releases in July and September. There's also Vol 14 English confirmed for August and the movie BD should be released in summer too.

It is going to be a big summer for Danmachi fans.

Finished reading it. To be frank, it was quite some good battle done by Hestia's alliance, and Bell and Ryu.

Danmachi fever still continues since they updated the date for the ps4/vita game which has been pushed back since 2017. It's scheduled for Spring 2019 now. Hope it doesnt get pushed back again.

I noticed that Bell been using swords quite a bit through out the series. Greatswords like the one Ottar uses won't match Bell, but wouldn't a normal sized longsword be a good match for Bell?

Welf uses a greatsword so I would like to see Bell uses something different. Aiz seems to favour bastard swords (I could be wrong). A longsword seem to be in-between them, yet different enough from dual knives.

Most of the swords you see Bell using are weapons he picks up to use because he has to.

Longswords simply don't fit Bell's preferred combat style at all. Bell likes to use a hit and away style, and longswords are more meant for melee combat.

He might do well with a spear, though.
