action pack anime

currently extremly bored.
anyone got any good recommandation for anime action packed where you just put your brain on standby and enjoy the action?
i dont mind if the main character is totally overpowered a la hokuto no ken or berserk
if there is a way to avoid the show featuring 14 years old kids that s a plus

something like FMP, black lagoon.

basically i d like to feel the little boy in me be in total awe in front of the action
the problem would be that i have seen a huge amount of anime over the years so finding one meeting those critera that i havent seen is kinda hard.

I haven't seen FMP or black lagoon but if you were looking for action packed anime with 18+ lead characters then I would recommend Claymore, Basilsk, Rurouni Kenshin (If you haven't seen it already) and Heroic Age (to lesser extent).

The main protagonist of Kaze no Stigma was just way too overpowered in my opinion. He never gets scratched throughout the whole series, I mean come on!

Kira from Gundam Seed owns pretty badly too. (this is an official warning when I say do not watch Gundam Seed Destiny!.

And who could forget the almighty classic Dragonball, Dragonball Z,Dragonball GT. Definately the classic action packed kids show.
(allthough I think they ran out of good villian ideas halfway through Dragonball Z)

Witch hunter Robin? The fighting scenes are quite entertaining, the main protagonist isn't overpowered too much. But I wouldn't really say it's "packed" with action, it has quite a few fighting scenes though.

i second Basilisk and claymore . Tenjou Tenge has some great action but is a bit of a relationship anime rather then pure action.

Trigun is good too. Don't let the first few episodes fool you, the lead is awesome.

Code Geass has one of the most awesome main characters of all time.

Gurren Lagann just gets more epic as it goes along (the main character become kickass in the 11th episode).

thanks for suggesting gurren.
It s pretty good the design and the color makes it look like some oldschool anime a la "getter robot".
now if only simon could stop being a crybaby that d be cool, but so far it s way above the average anime.

tenjou tenge and kenichi, well martial art anime kinda fail if you have been training in a martial art for over 10+years cause well it s soo poorly animated and the moves/training are not making any sense at least to me.
as for karas yes i know that serie and i m waiting patiently for eps6.
