Plot Summary: Ken, a young Japanese guy, is in love with a young Korean girl Yumin. He followed her in Korea and wants to become a policeman just like her. But then, he finds himself at the head of a local gang. What will happen to Ken?

I found this series about 2 months ago and fell in love with it I really liked it I mean its really awesome, and chapter 2 was released by some group called Random Scanlations and they did it pretty well.

Im just afraid we may not expect another one anytime soon because everytime a new groups pops up it either turns there attention on another project or the group fails, so im hoping that everyone who like this series too support it and chat about it here

I really love this guy's art. Story isn't too special, but the color pages in the beginning and the double spreads during the critical moments are beautiful!

Indeed the art work is awesome which is one of the reasons I got hooked on it but the story is also special it has everything, love, fight, action, and an interesting twist for the main character is he becomes the opposite of what he was aiming for a Policeman, but instead become a Mob boss in just one night talk about irony.

I would argue the love part takes more of a backstage very soon. Brotherhood between gang members and personal ideologies are more of the prevalent theme in the later volumes. While these themes are well explored here, they have been pretty much done by most other stories.

However, this guy ends up getting a lot of badass followers (he, of course, is still the most badass =D).

PS: I get annoyed by the gender disparity in these mangas, these are just enough badass female characters (not saying there aren't any, just that there aren't enough).

Indeed I cant agree more with you, still Im also liking the comady in it, how he so easily surrendered the whole or organization(gang) too him when he just blocked one of his attacks and stunned him for a moment then he surrendered in a funny way.

Zomg this manga automatically became my fav manga after i read the part where he was in the cram room. WHO STOLE MY KIMCHI was so hilarious. this mangas storyline is great, the sexuality can be cut down a bit for younger audiences but other than that its truly amazing. i recommend this to every manga lover. this manga with its hilarious faces and ect brings out what makes a manga special and keeps the tradition of manga going, . im so requesting a sig of WHO STOLE MY KIMCHI

It's a manga about gangs, crimes against innocent people, official and illegal businesses, hot chicks, sex and fanservice, korean gastronomy (to the point it's food porn) and a lot of humor.

There are suspense and good plot development : Ken's right hand man intentions are still unclear ; his allies could become a future threat ; The reactions of Korean authorities and Yakuzas are yet to be seen ; and even Ken himself seems to have a dark agenda.

There're 44 chapters in english and i found 55 chapters in french.

I like this manga ...
Ken is really a Bad ass..
it was fun to see Ken, do a normal job, and take orders and be treated badly as well ..
I want to see the reaction of the menager, when he know who is really Ken

and I must say .. the girls are really hot!!!
especially Yumi..

So a little while ago I had this conversation with a friend

Me:Man,HoTD is on hiatus again,I'd really like some thing with hot girls and action
Friend:I've got 3 words for you, Sun Ken Rock

And yeah,I love this much more than HoTD

I got what I wanted, hot girls and action....as well as a Korean food cookbook lol seriously it's not a good idea to read this manga if you're hungry.

The artwork is indeed awesome, this is in part due to the fact that the mangaka bases almost everything he draws on photographs, his assistants try to recreate every situation and take picture
There's a fight in a fancy hotel room? They'll go rent a fancy hotel room and start pretending to fight and that'll serve as inspiration.
You can tell the mangaka likes wide angles, there's plenty of them to be found and I think it ads to the cool factor.

Story wise, nothing fancy,it gets the job done,I liked the beginning of the "pop idol" arc less, there's the fact that at some points in that arc I felt that I was really reading porn, not that I really minded, the art is better than what you'll find in 99% of doujinshis out there,no what upset me was that all the previous girls I liked were gone and I really didn't care much for the new ones.

However I'm now on ch70 and Ken is back in business!!Things are going down hard and my favorite girl character just made a comeback! So I'm definatly pumped up!

Sidenote 1:Ken should be made a saint,I refuse to believe it's humanly possible for any male to resist the temptations he's had to resist.

Sidenote 2: the whole theme of Sun Ken Rock reminds me of this quote:

I like this manga...the arc that you mentioned,(Ken was a manager of the girl idol, and then the four girls) was really good..maybe a too cruel..for the girl..(i really don't like a rape) is funny that Ken is the only that don't have a sex...Only one girl give to him a blxxxxxx......
Ken is really a bad ass when he get serious in a fight...
However..i like the drawings in this manga...the girl are really sexi and hot.....and i like the story...but i thinkt hat it is too cruel sometimes..(for the girl get raped)..this is too much to see..

Well at least the series has a message about jingoism and misplaced nationalism.
