I LOVE how variations of the ED song "Fubuki" play as the boss battle themes for the current event in Kancolle. I'm only up to E2 but can't wait to hear more! It makes those boss fights so much more epic!

Shame youtube seems to censor the audio from ANY gameplay video with that music track in it so can't share what it's like to those who aren't playing the game.

(P.S. If you're here you're interested in Kancolle which means you SHOULD!)

I really wish the e-guitar parts in the 吹雪 ED were stronger or at least as powerful as the violins. I also hope those arranged versions of the ingame event will be included in the album. The guitar is more apparent in the first event map while the second map's version has a breathtaking break before the actual refrain, and both sound epicly decisive.

Actually, these aren't 'alternate versions' of the OP/ED but the second and third part of the full Op/Ed.

Oh, that makes sense. I hope it was just the volume's issue then. And I'm interested to hear how the 2nd part flows into the 3rd because E-2 is always over so fast.

Fubuki is nothing short of being a legitimately "epic" song. It has it all. And it is indeed whip-bumpable.

OP falls short. I feel like honestly if they just repeated the melody of the first stanza up to the chorus it would be a lot better (I mean without going full melody on the second stanza like in the first one). -_-

ED however..... well, it's just awesome.

I'm still quite surprised they went as far as making a hibiki character song instead of the full DesDiv 6. That said, Suzaki's Hibiki's voice is probably the most fitting for song, whereas it would be quite difficult to do that with Inazuma all day long.

Meanwhile, I expected a lot of tracks for the OST which is quite good to begin with, but it is just "volume 1". I'm rather puzzled about the possible second half.

So i was expecting all 10 members of the Fubuki main class to be quoted in the song, but it seems that only the ones ingame are in the song.

I've been curious about the march played in the second PV: was that created for the anime, or is it (or is it based on) an actual Japanese navy tune?

I'm guessing that it could be a placeholder for a series of soundtracks for future anime projects. After all, all of the tracks in the current anime should be in this OST.

^ That track is most likely an original for the anime; I haven't found any IJN (or IJA) songs that have anything similiar in rhythm.

Yep, she does, and she even confirm it herself on her twitter account.
IIRC, she even confirmed she uses her own voice for chorus of AL/MI boss theme. I have to find that specific tweet though.
