I think they mean the manga not the anime. Himouto anime bd vol 1 sold 4k iirc

It was worded weird then it said "TV Anime going viral! 1.7 million copies sold!" That's a very strange wording. However, it does make more sense.

Pretty fitting finale.

We get a road trip with shopping, food, and the beach with all the main characters. I'd say that's a way to wrap things up. Overall fun show, nothing too spectacular but just some good fashioned fun


I would not mind another season of this series.

Well the manga is still ongoing and very popular.
So I wouldn't be surprised if we get season 2 one day.
But they would need to wait at least for a year before artist make enough material for next season.

Count me in among those who wpuld enjoy another season of this series. This was my biggest surprise of the summer season...the characters all became remarkably endearing to me (Kirie's thanking Umaru while they were sitting on the steps was very heartwarming, I thought), and I felt the adaptation of the manga to be very well done in many, many ways.

9/10 score from me. Absoluteley enjoyable and effective comedically on a consistent basis.

I absolutely would love to see another season of this anime. It is remarkably adorable with some genuine emotion between siblings portrayed in a way that is all too rare these days. Will re-watch after a bad day just to make me laugh and smile a bit.

The first episode of this was fairly weak, but as the show gained pace it became a weakly highlight.

I absolutely love this show. If there was ever a need to give an example of a cast of wonderfully endearing characters, this would be the cast to do so. I definitely support any idea of a Season 2 in the future.

My favourite scene of the episode: When a half submerged Umaru gets taken by a wave and her response is a simple, "Ara?". Followed by Sylphin's awesome entrance. Ha ha ha ha.

Well there are reasons, stupid reasons but still, it's not like she was going out of her way to let him know it was her in fact it was the opposite where she never let him get a good look at her. Him being distracted with everything else plus his not so far from the truth image of her having real problems interacting with others made a bit of a mental filter that prevented him from seeing it was his sister.
