it's not clear enough about what blue is, we only knew it based on jou's flashback only him participated on blue cuz jou has been praised as super talented that's why, doujima and the other members didn't. if what asahi's said is true about next blue is more open to outsider , it means it's rule might be changed with additional condition, i hope.

either those two, if he goes to asahi, perhaps he has known what's asahi's intention, he will pick up erina while discuss about blue,since the hideout isn't far from student's place then he goes to soma's to explain what happened before, or he will go straight to soma's place without bring erina back.
i prefer former, makes more sense though.

the plot might went downhill from this point... I'll just see until how far I could tolerate this arc

probably somehow, Souma would replace Erina's position after went on a harsh bootcamp from his dad

Don't worry, situations like this are always resolved at the end of the arc. Erina and Souma will hook up in the end.

Somehow I think you're going to be disappointed.

Expecting a female character to do anything anything by herself in a shounen manga is optimistic and Erina/Soma has been blatantly shipped for a long time now. Megumi got regulated to best friend character some time ago.

So if BLUE is happening I'm curious as to why this wasn't announced as the final arc. What else is left to do that couldn't just be covered in this arc?

The Souma and Erina making a baby arc.

In all seriousness, it does feel like it could be the last arc. Blue is the biggest competition in the world, and it sounds like this time's edition is an even bigger deal than usual as it will decide who will lead the culinary world. Where do you go after that? It's the same as Goku winning the tenkaichi budokai, so I guess they'll have to introduce Souma's secret super strong bro- oh wait.

And yeah, like GendoAizenPig said, Megumi is already friend-zoned at this point. IMO, it should be either Erina or no one in this series. Though, of course, a prerequisite for any pairing involving Souma is him actually realizing that there are things other than cooking that are important, like love for example. And also about what his father wanted to tell him is the secret to being a great chef.

Since Blue is specifically 35 and under, that means after they win this next can be a tournament for all chefs. There's also Souma learning to use other cooking styles or even having them winning draw the attention of even more powerful evil chefs.

This might happen, yes. But it could also end with Souma beating Jouichirou in a cooking match sometime after the BLUE tournament. Although both of these things could happen as well (a competition for all chefs, and then Souma beating Jouichirou at the end of the series).

I wish as soon as Asashi proposed the marriage Erina just got up in the chair and walked the hell out. He did say he isn't going to hurt her, allegedly, and she basically has no reason to listen to his demands or challenge. Actually find it strange they didn't have him threaten her or one of her loved ones to make her concede. Guess they want to keep him bad but not so bad he can't have the inevitable sad backstory/redemption.

wow.. i thought about how would soma got the invitation week ago and then author make it happend so soon, even deliver it through jouchiro makes me even think if he would be the judge too at blues, or there's chance that those WGO guys would appear again. so i think eventhough the blue this year is more open, it still limited only to the invited ones.

the cover show soma play lego's form of joe and his mom, i thought it would tell a bit glimpse his mom, but no, it just keep teasing about her, i'm bit disappointed so i hope i get to know about her more. but it's so nice to see those father-son conversation again since rdc, it gives soma's new motivation to get better, even be the best.
what a heartwarming chapter.

If Souma met the NTR-sensei in semifinal and beat him, then beat Erina in the final, is this the end of this manga? kinda fast but I don't feel too bad about that

and it is possible we will get open ending.. I just could not imagine Erina worked in Yukihira diner
