Finally took a look at that asosdan site to see what all the fuss is about. Still can't get used to seeing English versions of animes. The effort they're placing into the promotion campaign(?) is worthy of praise though. ^^; Mikuru's sample voice was... fun. Out of all possible scenes to use as a sound clip, they had to pick that particular segment that sounded like it came out of an eroge. ^^; Of course, nobody can beat Gotou-sama's original ponkotsu voice, but I'm also surprised at the quality of the English dub. By the way, I thought 2 fitted best. We all know Kyon's voice is more important than any of the girls though. |

for some reason, i found those auditions to be somewhat, kind of disturbing...not to mention that those voice actresses were almost basically>>>moaning!!
but i say i would go for number two on that audition but the way how the voices were acting i say it was an audition for Mikuru"s American Voice Actress but yea as Sushi-Y mentioned Kyon"s voice might be as important as any of the other voices in this show next to Haruhi"s voice dubbing as well since Kyon is basically doing the narraration to this show!! |

I voted #2, as a frenchman tho, because I felt she carried the Mikuru's "cry more" groove the best.
At least USA have the chance to choose their voice actors for this series, France may not have this chance. But I sure know a french voice actor who have the voice tone fit for Kyon.

Okay, I know this little conversation between me and Lost is old, but I've just watched Death Note up to Episode 11 recently, and I've found something out that's really shocking. Something that corroborates Lost's fears. Apparently, Hirano Aya, who voices Suzumiya Haruhi, also voices a girl named Misa in Death Note. Who is this Misa? Well.....she's the second Kira. In other words, Lost's worst fears have come true. Suzumiya Haruhi's found the Death Note, and she's wrecking havoc with it. |

I'm voting for VA-01. VA-02 sounds too Shakespearish. VA-03 was doing well until she raised her voice, which is a big no-no for Yuki. VA-04 had weird emphasis in her tones. Narf.

I'm just getting more and more confused by the whole asosbrigade deal. It's hard to tell if all of this is really official and will end up on the final DVDs (in the case of the voice polls)... but at least it's fun and it doesn't go unnoticed. Well, just like everything Haruhi's done so far.
I voted for #3 as the American Yuki - she was definitely the most emotionless person. #1 also did a good job but her lines didn't sound as monotonous. At least this cast sounds much more fitting to me, compared to the previous American Mikuru.

Haha, I went with three too. I went with one of the less popular options with Mikuru (4, I think) but I'm with the majority on Yuki, that voice seemed to fit the best. Although all of them try to sound too robotic which I think is a huge mistake.
