I just finished the whole series last week and I find it charming. The concept of spirit vessels, gods and divinity in a non exaggerating way is good. I can't really say anything against the series. The animation and background is good. The music is fair. Plot is well done. The characters are likable. I hope this has a second season for a better closure.

Well. That was an anime. I think the show at its core is supposed to be a coming of age story in Japanese mythology trappings, but the biggest problem is how often Miyuki and Izumiko's relationship see-saws throughout the show. Also, where was that danger they were supposedly protecting Izumiko from? Where's my gradual development? How come the best dynamic in the series is between Mayura and Manatsu? There's nothing wrong with the show's structure, but something about the way the scenes are tied together feels off. I feel like there's a bunch of tiny things that just kept nagging me that brought this show down tremendously; death by a thousand cuts.
