They weren't going easy on Shaka. If they had they wouldn't have been forced to use the Athena Exclamation, which was the only thing that would stop him.

Seeing that their Surplices held up during the Athena Exclamation clash just like the Gold Cloths, that argument is rendered invalid.

Even if its Shaka they had a duty and time was precious, if Shaka left them pass his temple its likely he would mess with them again on Libra and they lost a good time on Cancer due to him. Plus Shaka got the reveal of the Araya Shiki and needed to go to the underworld asap.

Saga had the same age Aioros and Kanon, you say the others had room to grow but so does Aioros if he lived, Saga did.
And now Sagitarius from ND is currently alive.

Their surplices were damaged, gold cloth didn't. Even Radamanthis couldn't, that was something from the anime to add thrill.

Something kind of weird because Niobe ripped apart Taurus cloth with ease but maybe that's because Aldebaran was dead and his cosmo was around the place

I remember reading an interview where Kurumada said that while he never thought who was the strongest Gold Saint, Shaka should be that one considering how he is called the man closest to God. Still, this is getting old. I see this discussion everywhere.

Just accept Dohko is the strongest thanks to his Moe waterfall tears and let's leave it to the Next Dimension thread.

Of course if you ask who is the strongest among the 12 original gold saints thats Dohko, even Saga was afraid of facing him, thats why he never thought of fighting him directly.

IIRC The green-hooded dude with mustache is Green Arrow, the master archer from DC comics. The dude with purple mask is Hawkeye, the (relatively) young and extremely talented archer from Marvel comics. The girl with many arrows is Tenten, the arsenal-wielder kunoichi from Naruto. The glasses-dude with huge glowing blue bow is Uryuu Ishida, a quincy from Bleach. Lastly, the dude with aura-arrow is a minor character from Hunter x Hunter whose name I don’t even remember
