Actually her body was not dead. Charles perserved it since both hoped that there's a chance she could get back into her body once the plan succeeds. They tell Lelouch so when they reveal their master plan (like typical villains, they talked too much )

Let me say this:

Lelouch's fate was left entirely up to us. The director even said it: "It's up to your imaginations." Therefore, we can decide FOR OURSELVES if Lelouch died or not.

So will the lot of you please stop arguing about it?

It's human nature to argue.

I'd love that, until a PROPERLY translated source tells us otherwise of course

Well, in the official List of Dead Characters published in a recent release, Lelouch was at the bottom.

So yeah.

The point of having an open ending is so we can debate about it really... It's so Code Geass wouldn't be left as just a memory but more of a daily discussion that lasts over 200 pages on an anime forum.

Actually, I believe it's a case of actually REQUESTING an [opinion] tag for THIS specific thread. Whatever is said without something to back it up is ALWAYS an opinion, do we really need to actually STATE that it is so? And who cares about THIS particular subject anymore anyway? Those who believe one thing or the other will continue to do so.

Well, him being gutted, having his life flash before his eyes, dying onscreen, having official proof that he didn't get C.C.'s Code, and there's no proof at all that Charles gave him his (think: WHY would Charles give it to him anyway?), and his plan being TO DIE IN THE FIRST PLACE makes me pretty certain he's dead.

Guys, guys, only one thing is certain so far, and it is this:

~*~ it's up to your own interpretation ~*~.

There. Wanna believe he's dead? He's dead. Wanna believe he's alive? He's the cart driver. No need to go at each other's throats over opinions.
