Twenty-four here, but every one tells me I was born at 43 years of age.

All my peers still seem to be kids and the people who don't think I'm geriatric in personality are all gray-haired and in bed by eight.

Dagnab hoodlum youngsters. Stay off my lawn!!

You are old. If I'm right, that is. If I'm correct, you're more than twice my age. 37?

Your either 37 in base 10, or if breaking the code into groups of 4 is significant, you're 25 in base 16.

Seeing as I'm a professional dork, it's hardly a problem.

Well I'm micro-arch, so it's base 16. If it had been in Hex it would have been a dead giveaway.

I also thought of that - more believable that way. 0 0 2 5 ... Still, you're older than me, lol.
So the spaces did have meaning ... I'm an amateur dork.

My age on the left is a lie, basically.
I'm like... 8 or 9 I don't remember.

And you've read Celine. Sure. [/sarcasm]

Celine, btw, is a great author. 'Death on the Installment Plan' and 'Journey to the End of the Night' = win.

tee-hee-hee

Honestly though. Without trying to sound like an old fart, which Iím not anyway. People generally tend to long for the years before their current age no matter what age they are. The downside of growing older is that you get more responsibilities. Regrettably, this is simply the way our modern society works. Luckily Iím the type of person who looks on the bright side of life, but telling you it wonít get harder from this point on would be a lie.

I'm 37, and I don't really long for the days of my youth, because you young whipper-snappers have it so easy these days.

Why, in my day you could only get your fansubs on 5th generation VHS copies. You considered yourself lucky if the quality was good enough to tell the characters apart. And we all had to buy any anime that came out, no matter how bad it was, because that was all there was. We never had no MP3 players either. And the internet was just a bunch of tin-cans connected by string. And we had to walk 20 miles to school/work, in the snow (365 days a year), uphill both ways. And we... *mutters on in crochety old guy mode to the sounds of the Hovis music*

Right now I'm physically 18... but mentally I alternate between being a grumpy old man and a hyperactive little kid. Act my own age? Psssh, that's boring. I'll probably start acting my own age when I actually am an old man, so that I can be grumpy and bitter and spiteful. Something like Gaiarth's post above, only based a bit more in reality. Uphill both ways... classic. xD

He is.
By the way, if you have a good english translation for that quote (in Journey to the end of the night") please tell me.

(And yes, I'm 9. I read Choderlos de Laclos when I was 7. )

It's sad though, that I haven't read Journey [...] because it's his masterpiece by consensus. I only read Mort a Credit (in English, of course). STFU - Chonderlos de Laclos ... right?

Anyway, going back, you certainly are 24 - but at least you've read good French authors. Now if only you'd read Stendhal, Zola, and Balzac. They = geniuses.

25 here. Come to think of it, I doubt I will stop watching anime even when I get to be a senior citizen, it became a part of my life, I have watched anime since I was in elementary. I think if you really like something it really becomes a part of you irregardless of age.

Well I actually started getting serious with anime like buying DVD's when I reached 23, and watching regularly.
