Has anyone heard of a rumor that Fuji TV entered the anime's production committee and demanded changes to the history of this arc to make it suitable for a more accessible time?

I read that on 4chan, but we all know about the "trust" that place has.

From what I heard in another rumour, it seems Fuji TV is aiming to air the new season on prime-time, which means it'll air at afternoon-early evening slot.

I won't watch the second season until I first watch the film, Mugen Train.

I do not want to skip the chronological order of the arcs that are following from the first season, that are being adapted into anime format.

Maybe this season will make me understand the hype. Or maybe the movie will, since I assume it'll be released before the second season since the opposite wouldn't make sense.

Not even sure how that'd work. They never showed anything untoward in the manga anyway; it was only just context and subtext. But it was kind of important, because otherwise it'd have to change the entire setting.

After this there will be another cour covering the Swordsmith Village arc and then 2 or 3 cours covering the final battle arc.

Well, I'll give the first few episodes a shot. The incredibly annoying character kind of killed the show for me, but things might have mellowed out since then. If nothing else I'm glad for those looking forward to this (even if the second season is hardly a shock).

Anyways, this is arguably one of the best arcs in the series. Hell yes I'm watching.

I would be surprised if they will touch the manga story / design / fight scenes.
I don't know the rest of the story and what the other characters can do or how are they like, I am saving them for the anime, that's why I don't read the manga. I just hear they are at least as awesome as what we had until now. Anime makers would be imbeciles to change it in the anime, that's what I know.

You're talking like it would take you 15 years and 3 months to do it! It's barely 2 hours long, I've seen it twice and 1st time it was that horrible quality because someone told me it was released and I couldn't not see it if he got me going. Advice: don't get someone going if the DVD cut at least hasn't been yet released!
