If I am not mistaken, there was a notice in the last episode, and ANN also lists that episode 14 will air on January 8.

What a relief at being to watch another episode to Kuroshitsuji after a couple weeks of absence.

The filler ninth episode was a very funny one.

The stooges trio were ordered by Ciel to take Sebastian's picture with the special camera the young master acquired.

The twist for this episode implied that Sebastian already knew beforehand what his young master was up to and successfully averted having his picture taken, and although it seemed the young master succeeded at his last scheme, Sebastian had Plute scorching the picture along with the negatives.

Everything failed to keep Sebastian distracted in order to spare room for the 10 seconds lapse time it took for the picture; everything including the sexy Chinese girl wearing the short skirt, that Lau brought

Sebastian knew or at least found out, because he carefully observed Ciel's toy soldiers and lamb figurines out of their place. That was a dead giveaway for Sebastian to deduce wanted to have his (Sebastian's) picture taken.

For the manga readers, does the story get any better? Or is it just a lot of fanservice catered towards females?

Yes, I am male, and I get bored by shoujo type animes. The only hope I had for this series was that it was categorized as shounen, and even though it is targeted for females, sometimes that just means there isn't a lot of action. I'm all for slow developing stories or character centered animes, but this has been very uninteresting so far.

As much as a raging fan girl voice I have in my head I could not make it past ep 3... its more dreary fan service and randomness with lil plot or worth while plot/story.... this series was a turn off. ;_;

Yes, the manga story definitely gets better and more exciting + there is some male fanservice too in the Noah arc. But I'm not gonna lie, there is not much action ahead, just more of a criminal hunt and solving mysteries. Nothing too smart though, but it leaves me entertained as a female reader. Honesetly, I don't even know why it's labeled shounen, because it's clearly targeted mostly for the female audience.

I got curious before checking this show. Is there romance here? Or just plain boy-boy romance? Sebastian is hot and the next main character is another boy and there's lots of fanservice. That's always a red-flag for shounen-ai. Not that I find it repulsive. XD

Nope, there is no romantic love involved. Just some shounen-ai hints..But in the latest chapters it was hinted that Sebastian actually might be bi after all Ok never mind, disregard my last sentence

Kuroshitsuji's tenth episode put a wonderful smile on my face.

For starters, the gears began to turn around making the hands on the Clock of Doom to move again.

This is because the Mad Hatter reported to his unseen 'Master', that the shard of Hope escaped the bottom depths of Thames River on its long and arduous trek to rejoin with its new Master.

Unfortunately, the ring having managed to hide itself within the "fake", toy replica of Noah's Ark surely will bring to Elizabeth an even terrible curse than that of Marie Antoinette.

To which Ciel won't be bothered but ecstatic to resume his personal game to hunt for the ring.

Ciel was exquisitively malicious in this episode, savoring the glum and murky taste of the cursed fate which has made company to the Phantomhive name for generations ago.

And too bad, and I say very unfortunately, for inspector Aberlain because Ciel with very ruthless intentions and interest has pried his eyes on the Inspector, addressing to the audience that Aberlain will both unwillingly and unknowingly be collected and used as Ciel's next pawn piece.

That's what he got for striving to protect people; Ciel slaps away those intentions as the foolish actions of arrogant fools who daydream that are saving the world in a happy scenario.

But, worst for inspector Aberlain was that he beated and contested Sebastian's position as the renowned comedian to literally force out a thunderous laughter from the Undertaker.

And what could be an episode without some innocent fanservice, courtesy of Lau's companion, though did not pass to show on-screen because all the characters reside in the Victorian Era, and fanservice at that time was tabooed, outlawed, and not forgetting punishable by law.

Eh, I don't know what became of the fanservice talk above, but I think that the show is pretty much just messing around. I could really care less, I'm just fascinated by it (As inaccurate as it is,) because it's in the Victorian Era, and I myself and a big fan of European history - especially that of the Royal Families and how general life was for everyone.

Although, I could be looking in the wrong place, but thus far that's what keeps my attention on it. The plot itself is kind of driving me up the wall because its point is slowly waning, but a filler or two is fine. I think we've finally gotten into a new, actual plot point with episode 13 though, whatever that may be.

But I'm pretty sure this is one of those shows were its fan-base will drop because it doesn't seem like it's going anywhere, only to gain it back two-fold because something exciting or different happens waaaay later.

As of right now, there are 14 episodes. (A new one airs tonight.) So far, 10 of the episodes have been subbed.
