CP comes up everytime there's an MVP talk this season. -_- I can't really argue either, his performance overall was just extraordinary this season..
But playoffs start on April 18/19 (not sure which day)~~~~ I have a feeling Lakers are going to take this year..

I'm looking for a more entertaining finals this year
New Orleans lost again today so tied with Lakers for first seed of the Western Conference. If the Lakers win again tomorrow against the Spurs, that would really put an exclamation point to finish this season.

This could quite possibly be the most exciting NBA playoffs in recent memory.
Each of the West matchups could be crazy. Some of the East matchups will be great. All the teams are set, and the matchups are set in the East. As of 4/15/07 4 PM EST East: (set) (1) Boston Celtics vs (8) Atlanta Hawks (2) Detroit Pistons vs (7) Philadelphia 76ers (3) Orlando Magic vs (6) Toronto Raptors (4) the eveeeel Cleveland Cavaliers vs (5) my Washington Wizards How do you see the Eastern Conference matchups going? My picks: Boston in 4 Detroit in 5 Orlando in 6 Washington in 6 West: (not set) (1) Los Angeles Lakers vs (8) Denver Nuggets (2) New Orleans Hornets vs (7) Dallas Mavericks (3) San Antonio Spurs vs (6) Phoenix Suns (4) Utah Jazz vs (5) Houston Rockets Looking at those potential West matchups are making me drool, especially rematch between Spurs and Suns (I say Suns in 6). Oh I want the Suns to beat the Spurs so bad this year. Even if the Suns only beat SA in the playoffs I will still be somewhat happy.
And it's not like being the number 1 seeded Lakers got it easy this year either Denver and most likely Utah in the first two rounds is no cakewalk. I will even go on to say that even the Mavs have a pretty good shot at getting to the second round, which I hope they do because the Suns would have homecourt over them if they met in the second round. |

There we go. Lakers clinch No.1 seed in the West. Depending on tmr's games, they will either play Dallas or Denver. Just wondering, does that mean Denver has the tie breaker against Dallas??

Denver would need to beat Memphis (lock) and have Dallas lose to New Orleans to avoid playing LA. I don't see that happening since New Orleans is locked into the #2 seed no matter what, so they'll rest everyone that last game before playoffs. Edit: Actually, New Orleans might actually show up for that game since they can actually choose their 1st round opponent. It all depends on who New Orleans wants to play. If they want Denver, they will want to beat Dallas. And vice versa. Last edited by tenken627; 2008-04-16 at 02:24. |

Hehe... *looks around* it seems there's alot of laker fans here and I'm the only utah fan huh? After getting by the rockets, they'll be playing the lakers. Hmm... interesting, but homecourt advantage will help utah to advance to the western finals. ^^; kurupo~
