Having not read the novels, the only gripe I had about this episode (and for the rest of this series) is the directors' choice to use the pathetically weak "swish-teleport" sound effect of Kuroko-chan's teleportation rather than the forceful and exotic sounding one used to railgun. The latter has an "oomph" and power that actually makes her sound like a powerful level 4.
Best Analogy: Index teleporting sound: Kitten's meow. Railgun teleporting sound: Lion's roar.

No doubt the same scary type that finds Vegeta sexy; both are mass murderers who take joy in slaughtering women by the hundreds and thousands...
Makes you wonder if fangirls like that get off on fantasies of being beaten and raped by violent boyfriends....

Well, Accelerator's not really bloodthirsty, if you go by LO's view of him (back in season 1). Then again, he ain't the nicest person out there.
That said, JC staff would be in trouble if Accelerator's real name is like what Touma guessed...

Minus points for awaki needing even LESS of a reason to talk MORE than touma.
Also minus points for underwear overkill. I feel like this whole episode consists of nothing but that awaki chick ranting on and on, alternated with seeing little girls either naked or scantilly clad. |

Well, like it or not, that was in the novel as well. Awaki was trying to tell Kuroko about the SISTERs experiment.
One thing to note in the LN in that Kuroko wants to wear these underwear is so that she can feel good. This 'feel good' is to help her concentrate better in her teleporting. @Outerelf. Suzushina Yuriko? (This was in the Index manga, so not a spoiler here.)

Also I don't care about kuroko wearing what she wears, that's not all too uncommon nowadays anyway. I don't mind looking at a few service shots either. I take issues with whole scenes (plural) built from bust and crotch shots, and whatever other servicey crap they throw in. And then they still try to have a serious conversation too. Atmosphere fail. |

With Kuroko interacting with her onee-sama, it really isn't serious unless at least Mikoto is serious.
I see where you're getting, but then again, this is in the LN as well, so it's not JC staff's fault that we're getting these fanservice with a so-called 'serious' conversation.

Could be worse. In the novel, in the scene where Kuroko was bandaging herself and talking to Misaka, she was naked.
Anyway, good episode over all. Pacing was a litlle off, but fair enough. Probably my biggest gripe is that the scene with Awaki completely dominating Kuroko wasn't brutal enough, and cut just as it began to get worse. They cut back by quite abit. Awesome BGM at that scene though.

It's more like, "oh, this scene... Kuroko's in the bathroom tending to her wounds while talking to Mikoto about a serious issue, but she's naked, can't show these or else we'll get canned by the TV station. Let's put some lingerie on at least..." kind of impression to me now that I'm reminded of the Volume 8 illustration...
In this episode, I do notice that some of the wounds she's tending to applies to some places where she would normally not wear lingerie on top of them immediately after bandaging it.

Besides the Level 6 Shift experiment, Accel has only killed people who've directly attacked him first with an intent to kill or people who really deserve it. If Last Order's theory is true, then Accel only put up a front during the experiment to try and scare the SISTERs away before he had to kill them because he knew no matter what he did the experiment would continue even if he refused to participate. I wasn't a fan of him before Touma came in the picture, I became a fan of him when he decided to try saving someone for once and try to break free from the crappy life he's had until now. It's his incredible character development throughout the series, his dark past, his rule breaking powers, and his decisions to protect Last Order that makes him so interesting. He is not afraid to do bad things to bad people and he is not reckless with an annoyingly idealistic sense of justice like Touma and Mikoto. Also, there's something about pairing up an ex-murderer who's trying to change with an energetic and innocent little girl that makes the Accel/LO combo so adorable. Just look at the gorgeous fanart out there, it's nearly impossible NOT to love the two.
