Yeah its releases got stagnant I mean we were stuck on ep 5 like forever . Cant blame Fansub groups though tooooooooooooooooooooooo many new anime this fall .

Too bad its only 13 ep -_-

its not bloody in a sense...we get an odd splat here and there but in the end the vampires that die turns into dust

its worth watching and the story is interesting accompanied by a rocking OP and ED song

This is just a theory, but am I the only one who thinks that Kotarou is actually the love child of Jirou and that blond girl?

^ actually i was thinking the same thing...i mean kotarou has blond hair! and the blond girl is human right? so it might explaing why kotarou isnt weak against water or sunlight...

ep7 and 8 showed a lot of development and the story is shifting into high gear...its getting all serious i really hope the ending will be good

Its pretty much has to be or the blonde hair and good attitude would be nothing he is too nice just to be all vampire. All the Old Bloods we have met have all been gloomy cocky or quiet. Not with Kotarou though.

I think you can attribute his behavior mostly to the fact that he's just a kid. At any rate Kotarou is still a bit of a mystery.

But... but... Kotarou is only a kid in terms of appearances. Who knows what his actual age is. After all, there are two other 'kid' vampires( 3, if you include Chan) and they certainly don't act all cheerful and sunny.

Kotarou is certainly involved with the blonde...But currently, I think it would be safe to let that assumption stay at that. You don't really call your 'love-child' a younger brother, IMO.

I have a bizzare theory about who exactly Kotarou is. I don't think he's the blond woman (Alice Eve's her name, btw...) and Jirou's love child . I think he *is* her. Following has spoilers for eps 1, 6ish, and 8, which help explain why I think this:

I agree on Kotaru being the love child of Jirou and the blond woman. So it seems...there was a baby in Jirous past memories, was it Kotarou?

Just finished watching ep 8. This anime is really getting more and more interesting. And I like the animation too, it's a bit "pointy" or how should I say...but nice. The only thing I don't really like is Jirou's outfit

but now that i think about it, he could be their kid too.
i love this show, though.
the random mahjong game cracked me up. XD

Spoiler: lots of development of the story here...the first scene was with jirou and that mysterious blonde girl...from that its obvious that jirou has the hots for her...here it comes to show a few more new chara...this evil badass guy that we saw in ep 5 was actually quite friendly...or just plain evil as he didnt do anything and tired to befirend jirou...but he did let them go at fer jirou sed no to join the darkness faction... in the end jirou was rejected by all the places and was forced to return to mimiko's small flat...too bad that we hear a loud bang and the windows blow out poor mimiko... __________________ Siggy: hohohohoho~ \| AnimeHistory welcome to our blog ~ \| Summer2009 early review Under the radar series Summer2009: Kanamemo, GA Geijutsuka Art, NEEDLESS

Following has spoilers for eps 1, 6ish, and 8, which help explain why I think this: Spoiler: Starting with episode 1, we know that at the begining of the episode she's not around for some reason. Jirou still seems to be so upset over the her loss, so I'd guess that it was pretty "recent" during the flashback. Also, pay attention to the two people he's talking to, the grey hair guy (Cain) and a rather chinese looking guy (Sei) who makes a comment about maintaining a barrier. I think this is also the episode when we find out that the Kowloon shock occured 10 years previously. Although as some one pointed it, it may not be best to look at Kotarou and judge his age, I doubt that he's exactly old. At the begining of episode 8, I think it's important to note that the kid who's with the accepted vampire clans (can't remember his name, sorry) is the one who is maintaining the barrier around the city that prevents the kowloon children from entering. It's the same power the vampire from the first episode had, although this one is apparently much younger. Finally, in about episode 6 (the one with the picnic) there's a comment that isn't given much screen time that could explain a lot. During this scene, at one point Jirou says to the kid with the accepted clans that he's "been reborn into such a cute form." No one really comments on this afterward. Concidering his appearence and his powers, it seems like he actually could be Sei from the first episode, although with a different name and obviously different appearence. If vampires undergo a rebirth, and if they can change gender (big if there...), then it could follow that Alice Eve, who died around 10 years previously, could have been reborn as Kotarou. Jirou can't exacly maintain his previous relationship with her/him, but wouldn't have wanted to abandon her/him either. It could explain why he then adopts Kotarou as something like a brother, a bond that would be strenghted by the same vampire blood. Completly insane, I know. Just my twisted mind at work
