Hmm..from what I think on a "general American" point of view that p3psi hasnt covered yet (and he covered a lot)
USA: Capitalism (Microsoft..), generic food, the Bush man - pointless warring.. Singapore: Clean, mixing Korean slang with english Japan: High-tech phones, dislikes many americans (though most americans can only think of Pearl Harbor, and Hiroshima never seems to come to mind..) Greece: "Huh? Yeah I was in alpha mu theta." Improper pronunciation of the greek alphabet.. (it's veta, not beta, V-eta!!) had to especially highlight Greece since I've lived there.. France: Described perfectly by p3psi, almost exact american viewpoint Britain: we mostly speak their language...or is it they speak Our language.. grey or gray? Canada: "Blame Canada!" - from south park. Sweden: Strangely rich cold place with hot blondes... Russia: interesting dance, tall furry hats, both Hitler and Napolean failed to win against the run-away tactic. Brazil: Soccer, ("football? oh yeah the dallas cowboys play the raiders on monday night..") Isreal: Violent military.. all 18yr old males have to go into military service for a bit N. Korea: "Evil"- G.W. Bush, most dangerous country to USA. |

The Ring = Scary cant watch it alone. Ringu = Funny for 30 min, then just boring. (ok, came up with the idea, but still poorly done.) Japan - Godzilla chasing screaming business men, anime, and cute girls. Britain - Punk rock Canada - Vancouver, a great place to visit for underage drinking and french canadian girls, tarance and phillip. Italy - Flash Squirrel dont worry I dont think of spegetti or pizza for italy. I think of Gladiators, romance, and damn suave men that can steal american women, and Michelangelo (no not the pizza eating ninja turtle ) And as for all you usa haters out there, yeah I hate our government too (ok i hate yours also, but mine more) but I wonder if there is also a certain amount of jelousy tainting your views. I mean where else in the world do people have it this easy? Here even if your poor, as long as your halfway smart you can go to a technical school for 2 years (on the governments money if you need to) and come out making $40,000 to $60,000 a year ($100k-200k if your more than halfway smart) and retire in your 40's if you take the time to learn anything about investments, and go to 90% of the other countries in the world (that your aloud in) and steal their hotest women with your average looks because they want to move to america with you. Ok, we are arogent so I can't blame you for hating us. EDIT: A clip for all you people who hate bush, if you havnt already seen it a thousand times http://www.ebaumsworld.com/presaddress2.shtml worth the 15mb download.

Hum,
well when it's really so easy to make money in the USA like you say, then tell me why the hell America has so many inhabitans who live under the poverty line. I mean after all I heard you have to work real hard in America, I heard that many people have to work in several jobs because they don't get enough money, isn't that true? |

The other stupid thing they do is live way beyond their means. I'll admit that I probably live in one of the richer areas of the country (home of Microsoft and other hightech jobs that come with it) but one of the common traits I see in poor people around here is that they spend way more money than they have and are so far into debt that they are trapped. But if your smart like say my parents, you dont ever spend money you dont have. My dad is a retired highschool math teacher, my mom was a homemaker who did some cleaning jobs on the side. They have a nice 2 story house in the woods worth over $400k, two nice cars (not luxury), a nice (but again not luxury) fishing boat, and money to golf and do things they like because they are good at budgeting and saving. To many people see the things that their neighbor has and feel they need to have the same thing. The reason that the rest of the world is so damn dependant on America is because we don't save any of our money. As soon as we get a little money in the bank account we deside that we must be the only one in our neighborhood who doesnt have a 50" HDTV so we better go get one. Or we think, man I've been driving the same car for 4 years I need a new one! Oh look O% financing for one year on a new one! And thus they have no money anymore and have to work two jobs. If American's started being responsible and started saving their money the world economy would probably colaps because we spend way more money on imports than we export (which is why we're slowly being taken over by foriegn investors) and foriegn companies depend on that consumer mentality so many here have. So when I say it's easy to make money in America im not saying we're all a bunch of millionaire playboys eating caviar and playing tennis at the country club. What I'm saying that if your smart, you make good decisions, you pretty much can live comfortably here. If you can live a simple life and are ok with a toyota instead of a lexus, ok with a nice $400 tv that last 10 years instead of the 50" plasma screen, then you can own everything you have and have money to live on rather than a mountain of debt (and two jobs). EDIT: Why is my sig showing up twice? Thats weird. Sorry this post is so long... I deleted a lot of it before I posted because it was getting rediculous.

Edit: Also note that I dont actually know any korean slang..thats just how the shattered galaxy community defined the slang.. it might be Chinese or Malay. Also, this may be due to the part that Koreans game a lot as well..so their slang ended up mixed with the rest of the gaming world. Flash: Must be pretty annoying , USA doesn't even draft anymore unless under dire situations (last time was Vietnam War..I think..), 18 year old males here are free to do what we want, but we have to send in information to the government just in case they need a draft. |
