i don't understand the excitement over the revival of a concept that has been done to death, especially when directed by Shinbo who is way past his prime. In fact there should be disappointment since instead of trying again something that worked, SHAFT chose to divert its effort on something that sold horribly. The creative juices need to run more.

The series sold for an average 3400~ per disc which isn't TOO bad. It's certainly no hit but definitely it's sequalable.

A little dissappointed they didn't use Su-kon-bu (sung by Dorm Advisor) as a 2nd opening first season. Maybe another character song will come around this time

That's just about Manabi line, the break-even point. It's not a loss, but it's very bad result since no money is coming from it. It's definitely 'NOT' sequel-able.

It's just Shaft being Shaft again. From what I know, every shaft releases since 2009 except Hidamari and Bakemonogatari has been Manabi or loss.

For Shaft I think a tie is a win. I mean if they aren't losing anything why not go for it, they've been through worse.

Before 2009, almost every single Shaft production was over Manabi line. They've never been through the bad time since Team Shinbo's incoming, since even 2009~2010 had two massive hit of Bakemonogatari and Hidamari, even though every other series didn't even hit the manabi line.

Oh man I just watched the video of Yū Kobayashi advertising the series on the website and it's pretty freaky. You hear her changing her voice from feminine to masculine and it's like two different person.

They just have that kind of TV schedule.
The TV day starts, say, at 6:00am, and lasts untill last program is over - so the TV day lasts till, say, 26 40
