I'll be the first to admit that the plot could have been average or even just random "slice o life" bits and I'd have been okay with it -- it's just kind of nice and nostalgic to see the girls doing their daily routines. OVAs are perfect for that sort of fix.

More points for character evolution though... after all, life is transitory.

More Ichigo Mashimaro is what I wanted and more I.M. is what I got.

I think I prefer the opening of the TV series a bit more and the way their eyes are drawn now takes a bit to get used too, but overall, a very nice and cute OVA.

Oh, and it was also a bit of a letdown to see this lasting less than 25 minutes. I was actually hoping for the whole deal to last 50 minutes (like the Marimite OVA's) at the very least.

Though, I guess the size of the file sorta gave this away since the beginning. >_< !!

The scene where Nobue fills up her fuel tank really struck a chord with me as I often attempt to do the same thing when filling up my car. I really wish I'd discovered this show sooner.

I give this episode a 10 in prettiness ... the detail in the animation is very nice to linger over. The ED is exceptionally listenable... I liked the pacing of the OP with the visuals though I was more ambivalent about the music itself.

and the 25 minutes goes by way too quickly.

The eternal Miu-sensei battle topped by sensei's remark to Chika, the unmasking of Ana (and we get to see a bit of Ana's parents )... (babble continues but the reader shall be spared)

That was a wonderful watch, just like Ichigo Mashimaro always has been. I loved it especially for the amount of Nobue alone scenes --- though people are going to know that already by the size of my Nobue love. :3

& seriously, i was waiting for a Sasazuka scene. Those scene's can never get boring, like the whole show.

Is there any sign of Geneon U.S.A being included in the credits (as they were in the TV series)?

After taking a quick look at the opening and ending credit, nope, Geneon USA isn't mentioned in the credits.

Good, since I already added the torrent to AnimeSuki

But I hope the Strawberry Marshmallow (TV) U.S. DVDs sold well enough for Geneon to consider obtaining the OVA license one day.

At this point I'd be grateful for a region two release for the original series. It's painful being an Anime fan in Europe

I am actually hoping for Animax Latin America to pick this show. I am really interested in seeing I.M. dubbed to spanish.

I own a Multi-Region DVD Player so I'm not opposed to buying Region One DVD's per-se, however I like introducing shows to my friends but most of them aren't as tech savvy as me and have yet to get on the Multi-Region bandwagon.

Insane..

I'm not. They already butchered enough shows already.

They may not be the best (or second best for that matter), but they are still bringing a lot of shows over here.

Until a better TV option comes around, I'll take what I can get from them.

Wow, the 1st OVA was like a perfect episode of the show. And we get to see what the old man does for a living!

Actually, you do in episode 06 --- when Ana walks into the shop on the hot summer day.
