A little OOT, but the 4th iteration took such a beating because it made Yuki lose the K from her name. It had the worst and most repetitive art. Also it was the point that most realized that this stunt will take very long and most of us just snapped and remembered all the stunts that Kadokawa and KyoAni have pulled in the past.

About that DVD information: is that genuine? If so...I mean, who would buy such a thing? I mean, even for an otaku, wouldn't having all these 5 and 1/7 DVDs in your collection be an object of shame and derision? If you let anyone see that you had bought it, you might as well meet them wearing a "I am a tool" badge.

If I knew that the whole season is going to be like this... I rather not have them air Haruhi at all, so we keep our sanity and not having to watch the same old crap over again so Kyoto Animation can focus on making better anime than Endless Eight crap.

I don't know why you'd be surprised. Besides it being the point many finally gave up, it had some rather atrocious animation mistakes. Episode 4 was worse but this was the breaking point for many.

Coming from the stream, animation quality is on par with E8-4 [Ep05] (background characters were mostly static, especially noticeable during the obon festival). A few things in this episode:

• Haruhi challenging Yuki to successive swimming contests in the pool.
• Kyon goes Rambo on the fireworks.

You missed Haruhi and the hula hoop, the two sleep scenes of Kyon with his hands on his butt, however the "Endless" might refer to the book store across from the yukata shop.

This thought has occurred to me as well, though more along the lines of, I could see how one might enjoy Endless Eight if one were high. I had a roommate who liked to "smoke" and he could find basically anything entertaining.

Which is like saying one of your limbs getting amputated is better than having both of them blown off. Just trying to be objective here. I'm not particularly butt hurt about any of this. Mostly amused.
