The new entry in the Digimon series will be released in 2016.

■ Story

It’s been a long time… your heart flutters in your chest as you start up the Digivice. In an instant, your entire body is covered in a pure white light.

When you wake up, you’re in a mysterious world with no entrance or exit.

Shattering your confusion, an unknown threat attacks. And your dear partners come rushing to your dilemma. The bonds that were almost broken are connected, and a path is formed.

It’s the last summer vacation of high school. From a miraculous light, the gate to a new adventure opens.

Protagonist and Digimon

Takuto – (Default. Name changeable.) A senior at high school who is at the end of his club activities. A lover of Digimon from a young age, as a 5th grader he became the runner-up of a Japanese Digimon game competition.
Gabumon – A shy young Digimon that grows out his fur and digivolves into Garurumon.
Agumon – A low-level Digimon. His special attack is known as “Baby Flame.” (A flame attack shot from his mouth.)

Character Designer: Taiki-san

The main illustrator for a lot of characters from Lord of Vermillion III has designed some characters for the latest Digimon adventure.

“When I was in elementary school, I bought my first Digimon handheld and it was the firs ttime I fell in love with Digimon. As I was with my very own Digimon, I felt half of the pressure of my very own life.”

I also hope Cyber Sleuth does well enough here so that they bring this over.

That's my understanding of it. The scans look to me like this game more resembles Re: Digitize than Cyber Sleuth, at any rate.

Female protagonist is a go!

Digimon World: Next Order reveals female protagonist

The female protagonist is a pony-tailed girl named Shiki. Like the male protagonist, players can change her name. Whereas Takuto’s character artwork is accompanied by Agumon and Gabumon, Shiki’s character artwork is accompanied by the Digimon Biyomon and Palmon.

Why the hell All Digimon game starts with Agumon & Gabumon ???
How about The protagonist start with a completely brand new Digimon.
May be , There could 3 brand new rookey Digimon and player has to chose one.
No wonder , Digimon never suppressed Pokemon!

In response to this:

1. Not every Digimon game has Agumon and Gabumon as the starter Digimon. For instance, World 2, while Agumon was among the starters, Patamon took Gabumon's place as the "Data Starter", while Cyber Sleuth doesn't even have those two as starter Digimon.

2. The reason Agumon and Gabumon are the "male starters" pertain to how those two were the main "child" Digimon in the first two Digivices.

Actually no. In Digimon games for the DS, (Dawn and Dusk and Xros for example) your starter digimon set could have Agumon or Gabumon in them but the main member is Coronamon(mega=Apollomon) and the another one for Dusk. Xros has you know who as the starter. There's also others like Digimon World where you can choose from 4-6 digimon to have as a starter

Looking at Biyomon here, it reminds me how surprised I was to see Biyomon having a guy partner in the Data Squad game.

Gabumon wasn`t even World 4/X and not playable in 3.
The starters in Cyber Sleuth are

Spoiler for Cyber Sleuth:

Terriermon, Palmon and Hagurumon.

I wish for Elecmon.
I always liked Elecmon, but in 2, its digivolution line was Tyrranomon.
