Among the 2 possible theories I had in mind regarding this mess, it was the most logical, especially in term of narrative.

It isn't like Monaka disguised herself as Miaya, so that reasoning was obviously dismissed considering the age difference.

Well I knew Monokuma and Monomi having the same voice was fishy.

The question now is if she was the traitor too (well obviously but you know what I mean) or if there is a second person.
Which in turn would mean that Monokuma is being controlled by someone else. Or Monaka just likes to tallk to herself. (Note here Monokuma adressed the traitor)

In any event, Miaya is thus likely already dead or not even at the scene, or is a (cyborg thats being remote controlled now ).
A few things make more sense now such as lifting corpses up to high places.

However considering how she had the best opportunity due to being in the same room, soits likely actually Miaya (or better put her robot/cyborg). Plus a Robot would be immune to the sleeping gas and the sleeping drug in the bracelets.

Thus the real question isn't who the traitor is anymore but whether the traitor and Monokuma are the same person. - That is if there is only one traitor.

Edit:
Due to the way she now dresses, its also still possible that its actually AI junko uploaded to her brain - see DR2 about Junkoland.

Also I might be seeing things but isn't munataka's brooch the same Naegi's sister has?

No, she only wants to mimic Junko. She was already like that by the end of AE, whereas Junko AI was already in Izuru's custody by that time. Monaka/Nagito and Izuru took different actions.

Well one can say that they COULDN'T use Monokuma's orignal seiyuu because wasn't she receiving treatment for her dementia?

Even if they could keep Ooyama for Monokuma, the argument stands the same: both Monokuma and Monomi don't share the same seiyuu (be it in DR2 or DR3) and their voices are quite distinct to each other.

Gracious me, Mitarai is now shady as fuck.

Putting all my money on he's the killer with "Do no kill" as NG so he's "animating" people to do so.

Example being to get in Juzo's way to piss him off, resulting in getting kicked which killed Bandai.

Sounded the same to me - thats why I mentioned it a few episodes earlier already.

He isn't the only one suspicious.
Remember how the scout was the first (and only one) to point at Miaya?
Say what you want its still a mystery though, so a 'hunch' should never lead to the right conclusion and the possibility of the traitor and Monokuma being two separete entities still stands.
The reveal was a bit too soon for the real mystery to be solved yet.

Edit: Rigth now it wouldn't surprise me if Monokuma was actually Komaru. - just for the lolz

So Miaya was just a robotic doll that Monaca was controlling the whole time eh? Guess we know who the attacker is since she's basically Junko's successor. Surprised the reveal was made so early but perhaps there's even more twists ahead of us? I'm also wondering what might've happened to the real Miaya, I'm assuming she was killed at some point.

Kazuo ended up being quite the awesome old guy. It's a shame that he was this episode's casualty. Would have liked to see more of him after this.

Guess this officially makes Another Episode a core entry in the franchise's narrative, even if it is a spin-off gameplay wise.

Spoiler for Episode 4: Another Episode ending would have been pointless if they didn't use Monaca at some point. She is pretty much the only character that could have the expertise to use Monokuma if we exclude another Junko AI backup. That said, I'm quite surprised they let the cat out of the bag so early. We have still 8 episodes left and I doubt Kodaka would just let things go like that. I also find quite amusing how they have shown Robot Miaya turning right before escorting Makoto with Aoi. Pretty much a succint foreshadowing. Note that the childish prank on Aoi makes even more sense now. There is no way it wasn't done just for the kicks, and considering what happened to her brother, there isn't really anything that stops Monaca to bend the rules or target Aoi for real later on. Meanwhile, I definitely didn't expect Tengan to be that strong. OTOH, it is even more obvious that Juuzo can't punch anyone. Even though the mastermind revealed I still suspect that scoutman Kizakura ever since the game started this guy being low-profile I mean while people are being crazy to hunt Naegi or escapes from mad Kyousuke and Boxer-kun Kizakura distant himself from everyone and nobody met him again until Kyouko met him again on alone monitor room and nobody know what he did there. This exactly killer strategy, any mafia gamers definitely know being low-profile is standard strategy for every killers to cover their identity. Usually being low-profile is not wisest choice to applied frequently a killers must show their actives in discussion however in Korosiai game discussion utterly not obliged, being unknown to anybody is perfect tactic for the attacker has a space to kill the target without anybody restraint. In my theory Kizakura is the attacker while Gekohhara is Monaka camera she is a rat monaka sent to play as good ally with Naegi. The scene Kizakura pointed Gekkohara as suspect maybe a red herring plan by Monaca and him to made them look not get along.

I bet all the people who theorized that Miaya is Monaka even before Future arc aired are ROLF-ing so hard right now.
