10:39 of the episode, I went downstairs to prepare some instant noodles rofl.

Watched rest of the episode eating noodles.

Watched ep. 8. definitely my most favorite episode by far. The noodles and Loli maid outfit really hit it out the park for me.

This series continues to whisper awesome, in its intimate yet off-the-wall relationships and slice-of-life. I've enjoyed the joys of camaraderie at the laundromat, and the pleasures of the retro jam session by the eclectic band "The Maids." With only four more episodes left, it's going to be sad to see this fun ride come to an end.

Stage scene was indeed awesome. Shame the ED spoiled what instruments the girls would be playing, and Kon's maid outfit.

Yeah, in my opinion it suits her best compared to the other three girls. This time, the censorship is done by conveniently placed furnitures and as per usual, out of nowhere blinding flash of light (even stranger considering it's raining outside). Just watch the episode, the first part is a nice bottle episode, I too wish that vending machines around me could be that awesome. Another great thing, which is a staple for a bottle episode is the dialogue between the characters, and I find the banter here very enjoyable.

Not saying the first part wasn't funny, but I laughed more during the second part. Hotori mistaking an accordion for keyboard may be more understandable, but I laughed hard seeing even Tatsuno said that a violin is guitar-ish. Seeing her normally unflappable self totally lost it in front of Sanada is rather cute, too. But still, this episode cemented that Kon is my favourite character.

That was a riot. Udon vending machine - why only Japan, dammit? Not quite as cool as Rhinoceros Beetle vending machines (yes, they exist there) but damn cool just the same.

Funny how they go through the trouble of having a horse face girl character

I like Hotori's little brother! Especially when he's interacting with Hotori. I kind of want to see him interacting with Sanada, too.

I think he's served his purpose, for showcasing Hotori's sisterly side. Also, I hate kids in my anime (apart from cute little girls....

Perhaps, but I also rather liked the bit of him with Ebi. I guess I don't really watch much anime with little kids, and so he's a bit of a novelty for me.

Anyway. Is it just me, or was the 4-man-band episode parodying every other school festival/main-characters-make-a-band episode I've ever seen?

Nope, not just you!

I had the same thought as well when they were forming the and playing together. Hilarious stuff. Even if the ED did give away the instruments they play, I thought it made it funnier because Kon-senpai obviously had no idea what was in store for her when Hotori says she plays a keyboard-like instrument, and Tatsuno with her 'guitar'! LOL. Love the unconventional band setup, and the references to the ED lyrics as well!

Haribara and the laundromat scene was pure win.

Producer said that there will be some 'surprise' factors in series composition, not just following the original manga. I wonder what it is. If it is something like extending Alien invasion chapter, I'm absolutely in.

Yes, and it even managed to be better than most of them. Some people even say there was more development in this episode than in two seasons of K-on

(I won't comment on that since I've never watched K-on)
