RaistlinMajere,
So, I followed the link on your webpage about Mono en I tried to run SSATools 3.0 in my PB G4 loaded with OS X 10.3.9. I am not a programmer so, much of the language of the messages I get is sort of Japanese for me. First, I opened a Shell window and I tried to run the application and I got: Quote:

Any pointers? Is there anything that those messages are telling me besides that I have to study programming? I'd appreciate any help. Last edited by [P]ako; 2006-11-22 at 16:27. |

4.3.4
-Fixed/tweaked some UI stuff -More resize code added -Fixed double click in error list -Optimized some stuff -All karaoke variables now index from 0, not 1. This will break backwards compatibility with some karaoke, but it has never been consistent, so I am changing it. (first karaoke block will now have %karanum% be 0, not 1, etc.) -Fixed %karamid% |

This might already be in the HTML file that comes along with the package, but... I'm having a hard time understanding everything.
So I'll just go ahead and explain my problem and maybe a kind soul can help me in a better direction. let's say I have these \k commands for each syllable. Or rather... {\K22}Nna {\K26}yat{\K24}saa {\K26}in{\K22}a{\K22}i{\K20}yo {\K25}do{\K24}ko {\K45}dat{\K63}te Let's use the first one as a pointer. \K22. What I'd just love, is some sort of automation to allow me to have it: Turn into hundreds of seconds (multiply by 10, to be in the same format as \t timecodes), make a variable out of this. Let's call it %k1% After this is done, insert \K22\t(0,%k1%/2,accelerator,\command for first half of syllable)\t(%k1/2,%k1%,accelerator,\command for second half). For instance, first half could be a simple \fscy60 and the second half back to \fscy100, for a bouncy effect. I think you're all with me on what I mean. For the second \K, that is \K26, have it multiply by 10 for \t compatibility, use %k1% for the start timestamp of the first half of the next syllable, and so forth and so forth. This is of course doable by hand, no question about that, I'm just wondering if SSATool can (at current, mind you I'm not requesting an update, just discovering the tool here) save me these 3 days of typing? (Yes I've done this myself, and it took me 3 days of calculating, typing, calculating typing, and so forth, for one opening karaoke. >_>) I'd really really appreciate a reply on this. Thanks in advance! Knew I C#, I'd help out if the above is not possible with this app, but unfortunately this is not the situation. Thanks for a great application and making a great effort on making fansubbing easier for the rest of us! Mad props and kudos to RaistlinMajere! Again, thanks in advance. |

\t(%karastart%,%karamid%,accel,\command for first half)\t(%karamid%,%karaend%,accel,\command for second half) theres plenty more "variables", you can see them in the help file.. you input all this in the "karaoke effects" tab. add layer>add effect>raw code. theres a whole section on it in the help file. |

Really a great tool.
But recently I got an error that I haven't been able to solve. Whenever I try to open the Layer-Per-Syllable.xml or the notebox.xml, I get a "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I tried reinstalling the 2.0 Framework but that didn't fix it. Also tried two different versions and neither worked. (4.3.3. and 4.3.5) Any idea of a solution?
