Episode 39 was the best episode since Krory was introduced in the story. And a new ED showing the new girl Noah with a maid akuma looking pretty crazy. There is also a new normal humanbeing in the ED next to the Noah along with the earl. Also the ED is mostly featuring Lenalee.

definitely better than ep 37 ~ an action filled ep showing a huge swarm of akumas attacking a city and while the finders try desperately to save the city the are eventually picked off one by one...however with the arrival of kanda, Daisya and another new guy we see some kick (ball) action
another point to take note is that the general is also on his way to the city...i bet there is going to be an intersection between him and the lying tikki ~

speaking of tikki he is the most 2 faced person i have ever seen but now he is facing off against Daisya after being provoked...im fearing the worse >_<

Sir, I take your word. I do really grew fond for the atmosphere in this episode. It was anxious, full of tension with the Akuma scurrying everywhere, killing people here and there.

It was quite apocalyptic, but the Exorcist quite saved the situation but not the day.

It was great relief for me to see those cool powers in action, but more graced that finally the anime is resurrecting the manga back.

Seriously, the only thing I got to complain about is how the pace dragged with Tiedoll's journey on foot to Barcelona. It just interrupted the flow of the crisis, plus it makes me feel that once Tiedoll gets there after a day's long journey the city would be blasted to smithereens.

Yep, two-face without shame.

I found it funny the apple scene.

But, my! My addiction for Claymore has grown to unparallel levels that I have sworn Mikki was Awakening his black form when he could not held himself back due to Daysia's provocations.

And as you can see, Ztrik beated me to this week's screencaps. I present to you all the screencaps for the fourth ending.

Freaking awesome. Now that's an ending. If Claymore has ever a second ending, I just hope it has the visual quality of this ending but 80% superb.

Glad episode 38 really gets us back into things in a big way. FInders made a pretty good effort considering they couldn't actually kill the akuma so it wasn't a bad attempt. Too bad most of them got blasted to bits, but even a late arrival by Kanda and co managed to help things out. Though against an enemy of that mass they are clearly going to be busy for a while. Plus I can just see Allen and Lenalee arriving well after everything is finished.

Daisya....he just had to go and pick a fight with Tikki. Man I really am worried about that guy since he's not exactly a close combat type. They went all out to give character background so I'm a bit worried they did all that just to make us feel bad when he gets killed. Hope he can put up a good fight and maybe hold out but who knows really.

After episode 38, my interest with Tyki grows oh so much more. Along with the Noah family mystery, we now have Tyki trying to hold back these strange powers. The preview for episode 39 sent me into fanboy mode, meaning i'll be watching the raw pretty soon (comments come after), though i can tell for a fact i'm going to love it.

Also, i wanna know who's on that card, who is his target. Can't wait to find out.

Wow, that was over nice and quickly. I had a fear that we wouldn't see the death of Daisya, though it was nicely done. Seeing that awesome strength of Tyki leaves you in awe. What else do we get from this episode --- more yay Tyki black and white action. That was dark, the kind of dark i've been wanting to see in this series. We also get a lot of tears which you'd expect after episode 38.

Hard to tell whats going to happen next episode, but yay its the return of Krory~

Well its in the middle of volume 5, but there is the big mission that starts before they meet Krory and thats in both 4 and 5. So its quite hard to actually say but I would say volume 5.

oh noes...Daisya dies a horrible death...much like what happened to yeegar ~ methinks that this is tiki's special skill...the power to pin someone up like a cross with chains ~ quite poetic really considering that this is the guy who dances with black and white (and while even i get fooled sometimes into thinking he is harmless that grin full of sharp teeth really puts me back into reality...he is a killing machine!)
general Tiedoll cries...its painful to see a father figure cry...and this just shows how much Tiedoll loves life and everyone he knows ~ while he mourns for daisya's death he does not forget his heroism (after being dragged into this whole thing in the first place there is no regret ~ a peaceful death)



overall a sorrowful ep showing how the black order never always win ~ this is reality and judgement day is just around the corner...but from what i can see it is time to counter attack!!

suman is also seen to be attacked by tiki...i fear the worse O.O

the new end was just awesome! but the amount of lenali shot are really bad...i dont mean that it is bad in that way cause i love her but normally characters get attention just before something big happens...bad omen

I have to give 38 props - a really, really strong episode. It had definite... scope. A wonderful sense of building drama, and cataclysmic forces about to come together. And great foreboding for Daisya, who I've come to like quite a bit - Tikki is one serious badass you don't want to mess with.

Tikki's ability is pretty complicating then lol

I'm thinking they'll pull a Bleach with their ending theme and have them focus on one different character for each episode. This time just so happens to be Lenelee's.

But you're not wrong though, Lenalee does seem to have an important role to play, especially since there's that dream she had...

Nice action packed episodes DGM is the only series where you don’t miss out on the lead as the side characters are well created . It was hilarious to see Tyki waltz his way into Barcelona munching on the ringo . That made me wonder Tyki distant cousin of Ryuku or what . I am waiting for episode 39 I wanna see what happens next. Must resist reading Deathkillz summary must use the force, dark side to tempting

Yay for getting back to the manga storyline...Well actually in all honesty they can throw all the miranda and crowley filler at me they want to.

I was hoping for the lvl 2's to atleast put up a fight, but looks like they turned out to be target practice just like the others. I guess its going to fall to tykki to give our exorcists abit of a challenge.

yea im a bit annoyed at how weak those lvl 2 akumas are right now...i still remember the first clown one who took out kanda and allen was forced to evolve his weapon as well ~ but nowdays it seems that one kick blows them up (well it is a good sign that our hero's are improving to that extent to be able to one shott a lvl 2 akuma) ~ id say bring on the lvl 3s

Guys, good news! Since the anime is back on track with the manga, it would seem to me that the fansubs are starting to catch up with the broadcast.

Yesterday, Shinsen-subs released their fansub for episode 39.

This episode was a wonderful return to the manga material. Basically, the entire Black-Order is shrouded in the mist of shadow and bloodlust that the Earl has released.
So it is the start of magnocidal casualties, and people at the Order are starting to lose their morals.

Six exorcists were killed off right of the bat, and guess who must had been the perpetrator?

A question I have to ask: Aside from Daisya, do the other five exorcists killed and mentioned were actually shown in the manga? Or never made an appearance?

I'm formulating the question because it seemed too fast for me, that who I presume was Tykki all along slaughtered them all without showing a brief of how they fared in battle.

Tykki continues to scare me more and more. What exactly is he? He's repeating the same line as he did back at episode 36. He doesn't want to lose his black and white selves, since keeping them is where lies the fun and must remain composed or else he won't return back.
And what did he need the organs, extracted from the exorcists, for?
My God, is he going to awake?

It doesn't matter to me if he's the kindest amongst the Noahs, he's plainly a demented bastard. And if he's the kindest, then we did not get to see even a nip of how playful Road can be back at the Rewinding Town arc. Plus, the jerk of Jas&Devi are just barely getting warmed up.

In addition, they properly executed the apocalyptic atmosphere. Fear and despair has taken hold off the Order, because they have no idea what sh** is going around.

Komui's core team was the only one kept composed and not wavering once the rest started feeling sorry for themselves upon learning that the six exorcists day.

Komui and his team cannot afford to lose their minds, because they have to do their job and more than ever the Order has to reacquired all of its strengths among member to continue operating at 100%

Komui more than anyone knows the pain of the finders and loss of the exorcists, but when he was alone at his office he barely could keep his balance and remaining stand up.
I felt that Komui is putting the loss, the guilt, and the blame upon himself, because as the Head Science Supervisor he thinks it is his fault for the loss of his comrade. Worst is that this unfortunate tragedy has instilled him a sense of fear and concern for Lenali's safety.

I as well praise that Allen and Lenali did not get involve in the battle for Barcelona.

Tiedoll commented that the path for those two from now on is going to get thorny and hard.

A little bit of shame that Allen never tried out from Timcanpy how to find Cross.

Well, Lenali and Allen are set in motion again for their search of Cross. Time to go to the East.

Ticky Mick is complicating, unlike most of the other Noahs, he's living a double life. The white side of him has his friends and a simple life, the black side of him has his family and the dangerous life. I guess over time, it would be taxing.

Yeah gotta feel for Daisya on this. He was just in way over his head against that kind of opponent. Plus being more long range kind of person having a fight against someone that devistating in close is tough. Pretty certain what organ ends up missing in Tykki's opponents.

Pretty massive loss. 6 exorsists is difficult to handle on its own. Plus throw in the massive amount of finders they got killed off as well. They more or less saved the city but not without heavy casualties. Don't envy Komui having to make those rough decisions. I understand his thinking, but of course he's going to feel incredibly guilty about the whole thing.

Worried about what's happened to Suman. No way a guy will just go missing and not report in if he can help it. But not having a body either....just doesn't make any sense. Plus any of the possible theories frankly are disconcerting to me.

With the addition of Krory and Miranda, that's a total of 21 exorcist.

With 6 dead and 1 MIA, that's 1/3 of their fighting force gone.

Agree, this might explain why they wanted to give him a bit more background with Lenalee.
