What hints were there that Heartseed wanted something from them? I've only read up to Kako Random, but I haven't seen anything noteworthy (though I agree that he is a LOT nicer than No. 2). And... what cliffhanger? o_o

And no... I refuse to say anything about that cliffhanger until there are more news about the final arc... you don't wanna know about it if you value your sanity... it drives me nuts. Like, "ARRRRGGGGGHHHH *head desk* *pulls hair*" nuts. |

The more spoilers I read the more I excited I get.
Thanks Lantern for the spoilers. There are 2 things that I totally did not expect from this novel(I hope that these will happen, but from around 20lightnovels I've read, it don't seem that such thing will really happen...): 1. Taichix Inaba, like I said previously, I went into the 2nd volume with the mindset of shipping a dead ship(But I like Iori enough to accept IorixTaichi). The fact that it becomes TaichixInaba is just freaking awesome. 2. Focus on Taichi(vol 7). I like the 2nd volume because of his inner monologues on selflessness. How many of us went into this series expecting development on him? I know 2nd arc is Inaba's arc, but I like the 2nd arc partly because I feel that it also focus on Taichi struggle on selflessness. Taichi is the only 1 not totally involve in the 3rd arc and it feels like the purpose of his character in that volume is to save everyone(like most harem). When I think back, I guess at least it focus on Aoki? After that arc I got really worried that the remaining volumes will be similar to the 3rd volume. For the first 4volumes I've read, I feel that Iori is the main(most important) character. Taichi and Inaba is the first male/female lead follow by Aoki and Yui. What do you guys think?

And thanks for the brief overview, Lantern. I was thinking about picking up the light novels myself. It's nice how they have arcs to develop each character then. Is it still planned to be 10 volumes long? |

I don't have any info about that either sorry.
Kuroishinigami is the only person around here who might know, and this was the last update from him on page 12 of this thread. Note that when he said "Vol.7" he meant Vol.7 of the main storyline, excluding the two short story volumes aka Clip Time & Step Time. It will be the 9th book of the series, covering the final arc. We do not know if the author is gonna split the final arc into two volumes yet. |

So how much does the anime cover? And how close does it stick to the original LN version?
Are or will the LN's be translated? Is the anime just going to be a 1cour thing? This seems pretty interesting and hella funny, i dun want it to be a halfassed 1cour with an alternate or even worse, open ending that basically says : fuck you and buy the LN's |

4 volumes.
Very. Yes. In any language other than English if you want to read ahead of the Anime. No, it'll say "Fuck you, quit downloading our shows for free and then whine about it. Go buy the BD/DVD if you want to watch the last 4 episodes of the last arc."

And you'll be wrong, volume 4 is a good place to stop. ` Baka-Tsuki is only up till 80% of volume 1, you're gonna have to dig else for faster translations... Assuming they exist in a language you'll understand

Wrong. It is THE best and perfect place to end Season 1, wrapping up everything in high note and leaves you wanting for more.

They haven't really officially become couples yet. But by the end of Step Time, Shino started developing a crush on Chihiro. If I had to describe their relationship, it's kinda like a reluctant Tsundere (Chihiro) being constantly nagged by a Cute Puppy (Shino) who tends to accidentally and unconsciously tease/insult him ... and finally, damn you Anda for YET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER in Step Time ARRGGGHH *Head desk* As if the one in Yume Random isn't already enough. Yea, that's the one that I'm referring to.
Spoiler for No. 2:
Spoiler for last arc speculation:
I agree. Vol 4 is the best cut off point they can take, due to how the next volume introduce new characters and kinda focus on them |
