I doubt it's something really serious if he wanted to use it against Garou. I mean Garou wasn't even a threat to Saitama(I think Saitama had more serious fight with Boros)
But it could be power from his constant eating - I mean he didn't use some serious powers in the fight - but all food should provide him a lot of energy

Garou defeated all the strongest heroes together. Only saitama who appeared lated managed to defeat him. As for the food it is what i was thinking. That all the excess energy will be used all together though i am not sure if he will get a physical boost or he will shoot some laser

Two new extra chapters actually came out, but they were published in the American "Shonen Jump" in English by Viz Media, so being licensed they won't be appearing on the manga sites.

They are "extra" chapters and aren't part of the main plot so it's OK if you miss them, but like all the "bonus" chapters so far, they are quite good so you are advised to seek them out still.

29.1 shows Saitama facing off against some bank robbers, while worrying about being too broke to even buy a drink from a vending machine.

Spoiler:

He gets close to being able to acquire cash unfairly several times (after he gets left alone with the money the robbers took, even a boy he has saved offers him his allowance as thanks) but he does the right thing and gives everything back every time. He gets his reward in the end thanks to Genos who noticed and bought him the soda with his own money. (Aww.) It turns out the drink tastes awful, though.

29.2 has Saitama help out the police, whose jobs are overshadowed and underappreciated due to the existence of the Hero Association.

When a Hero Association leader exploits a monster attack to demonstrate to the media that the heroes are better than the police, Saitama borrows a uniform and pretends to be a cop and saves their reputation.

As far as the new SJ one-shot goes, I think it must take place before the meteor arc in the main story or something because I notice that some of the hero characters shown here appear after that arc (the tank top guys, Stinger). And.... well, the fact that those guys are all shown to be in one piece here suggests to me that the chapter takes place before the sea king/meteor arcs, heh.


Also, I like the design of that one hero with the thunder powers (the one wearing the gas mask). Kinda makes me want to see him appear in the main story, even if it means he'll inevitably get fodderized by a superior opponent, lol.

That was Lightning Genji wasn't he? He already appeared in chapter 20.1, as the A class hero that is assigned to D-ville. (He was also the only one among the heroes in charge of cities to submit a proper report.)

I have no way of telling, but I think it's in the normal chronological order, because the tank top bros seems to recognize him & are scared of him.
