On the newest chapter (173?)....

Did Keima fake a 2nd personalities so he can get into Ayumi heart without concerning the earlier date with Chihiro? That's one thing which Ayumi can't expect: Keima is a great actor/liar

Or getting Elsie to fake himself (just like how she faked Kanon, or Haqua faked Ehsie), and then acted like he has a twin.

It is more like Ayumi not wanting to take action and claim Keima from Chihiro, but instead rejecting Keima's advances, much to Mercury's chagrin.

If Ayumi is as aggresive as Yui, it might just work out. Thank goodness Wakaki didn't draw it that way because one aggressive girl is enough in a gang.

My heart still hurts whenever Chihiro appears. Please make it stop somehow, Wakaki. Maybe the upcoming fight with the Vintage will change this standstill situation with Mercury.

Well ... it is refreshing to finally see Ayumi being honest with herself - although it took the combo of Mercury poking and prodding her and Chihiro gently confronting her about it.

I agree with Nochgo ... my heart also hurts whenever Chihiro appears in the past few chapters. I hope that there will be some kind of realistic yet satisfying resolution for her character (although I still think her becoming a buddy to a member of the Spirit squad might do the trick for explaining a bit of Keima's actions).

Still kinda curious what Ayumi/Mercury are going to do if they are finally brought together with Mercury's sisters.... Ayumi, maybe more than the other goddess hosts has been portrayed as having a very unpredictable personality - a curious contrast with what seems to be an extremely logically minded Mercury thus far.

I don't think Ayumi is that unpredictable. It's just that she's human and doesn't always take the best logical choice. To Mercury, it should be simple: Ayumi likes Keima, therefore she should pursue him. Ayumi hasn't been trying.

It is going to hurt more. The little demon yangire is going to mistake Chihiro for a goddess and rip "the goddess" (her soul) out, leaving her comatose or turning her into a lifeless zombie. And she can't love Keima without a soul anymore.
