Tomoyo After ~It's a Wonderful Life~

I love Tomoyo and I'm looking forward to seeing her character develop outside of beating up Sunohara.

But until her route, I'm totally content with the 500-hit combos.

Looks like the Tomoyo After manga that just ran in Dragon Age Pure follows in the spirit of the PC game ending. Granted that all I know of Clannad is from watching the current anime, but manga Tomoyo is *so* emotional compared to her stoic self in the show. But of course it makes sense in the circumstances...

Well, from what I've read about Tomoyo After,

It is sad that things turned out the way they did with Tomoya - but who is to say that her own story ends there?

Presumably, if she is still in her mid-twenties when he dies/coma-goes-into, she still has most of the rest of her own life to find someone new, and who is to say that said new person wouldn't be as good as, if not better, for her than Tomoya was?

If the author wished to point out that sometimes life doesn't work out the way we hoped (I'm sure the poor bastards in Darfur would have loved to have the kind of issues that your average Western family have to deal with, in comparison) it also stands to reason that it doesn't always turn out the way one resigns oneself to.

Perhaps there is a story waiting to be told, with Tomoyo as the protagonist, in which she goes on to make the most out of her life, with or without meeting someone new along the way? For one thing, she seems to have a lot of potential in her own life that is seemingly set aside for Tomoya's sake - potential which is quite probably fulfilled in timelines where Tomoya shacked up with someone else anyway - so what if the time would come for her to make the most of her talents and abilities, for the sake of her own life, and for those around her?

Of course, the time she spent with Tomoya would always have meaning for her - but it need not be the end of her story.

And oh yeah - Tomoyo is the best, though I might prefer her not to settle for Tomoya, and to find her own path instead...

IMO, that is the most touching part of Tomoyo's story. The fact that she is willing to inhibit her own potential for the sake of being with Tomoya is the main reason I look forward to playing the Tomoyo arc after the patch is released. I guess other people just aren't as into self-sacrificing love as I am.

In the idea I was stating, there still would be that - but I don't think that Tomoya himself would want her to sacrifice her potential, or the good she could do for others, by giving it all up for his sake. And if he did die, I'm sure he'd want her to live on and do her best.

Yes, love is a powerful thing - but there are times when the best way to show that love is to let go, and start anew.

But is their a guide to help you get 100% on Tomoyo After and does AGTH and Atlas version 13 work since i tried it and some of the words translate to gibberish is their a site to add new words to it?

did tomoya die? from what i heard there are extra cg scenes in ps2 version which confirm this (image of tomoyo alone after tomoya miracle recovery, which kinda tell that tomoya died afterwards) which of course i dont know, because i dont own the PS2 version, please someone enlighten me

I've never played the ps2 version, but if that was true, then there would be no tomoyo after or the after school story, so I don't think it's true.

I see they have only made 1 volume and it looks like they won't do no more so does this manga kind of complete a little story or something or does it leave it in a kind of cliffhanger?.
