Alright that was a much better episode than the previous ones, the highlight was Awaki's fight showing how strong she is and Frenda getting caught by her own bullshit, next episode is going to be good. Other than that I have to say the animation was especially bad this time around, it looks like the low effort the studio us putting on this season is more evident when there are fight scenes.
As for the next episode, I'm a bit afraid about what are they going to fit on it, the material for that one can show if they're trying to rush as much as they can or if they're finally slowing down a bit. |

It's a while I read corresponding novels, but it feels like they left lot of content, anime also could add more of it's own to make it more coherent. And way Awaki vs Mercenary jn. was portraited Awaki should get trounced badly.
Really, cutting content from already very fast paced and complex arc is very bad idea.

God, it's even worse than rushed. I've read the source but it was 7y ago, I'm an Index fan... and I can't follow.
I wonder if everyone who went "shut up 26ep is more than enough" is starting to realize how unfounded that statement was. |

It is pretty speedy in how the story moves along. About the only organization I have a good grip on is ITEM and that's thanks to Railgun. But all these groups have such generic acronyms that they all just kind of blend together. "Oh you are in MEMBER not GROUP...ok."
At least Accelerator is entertaining no matter what is going on around him.

Just saw the episode and again, I don't agree with the complaints, this was a solid episode. Sure, there were a few scenes that looked bad (mostly the ones with the mercenary army) but outside of that it wasn't that bad.
Also, for those with doubts, even in the LN the real importance of this arc wasn't shown until literally the last moment. Everything else was just as chaotic and confusing, all you knew was that the different dark side organizations were fighting for different seemingly unrelated objectives and murdering each other on sight due to some sort of grudge or because it was the mission. Oh boy, next episode (or the one after that) might probably have THAT scene. Reading it was one thing but now I'm gonna have to watch it... Damn.

So why are these random episodic soldiers trying to do anything? Their helicopters can't hit a person, and a large group of them can't hit any person in a group despite ambushing them. Shouldn't they go back to class and stop playing war games? Or maybe use bullets that don't magically avoid their targets?
Also, that random episodic dark skin girl looks like that Railgun character. And that random... random school girl. ...Sure.

Quote:
The only helicopters in the air were AC's experimental helicopters that killed 4900 of the 5000 mercenaries, I don't understand where you got the impression that: 1. Those were the mercenaries helicopters (why would they shoot themselves with them?) And 2. That the helicopters didn't hit anyone. Are you sure you were watching the right anime? Stormtrooper aim is to be expected, especially when they are against the MCs of the arc. They should just be glad that they even got the chance to miss their shots and didn't just get rofl-stomped by Accelerator in less than a second. Those soldiers are not students, they are mercenaries from outside the city. Hey, the AC chapter of the Stormtrooper academy spent a lot of money researching that kind of ammunition, of course they are going to use every last one even if it kills them. What girl does she look like? Did you have a stroke mid sentence or something that made you unable to finish your train of thought? Please explain which girl you are talking about. Seriously, did you watch the episode or did you just have it as background while you barely payed attention? Yes, yes they did.
