And seeing as everyone pretty much loved both the episode and SR...guess I'll have to take one for the team...for the sake of interwebz balance!

This episode sucked! It was so boring! Nothing really happened and fatass pig main character is so annoying!
I hate Sky Raker! She's a boring and stupid character, hope she dies and never shows up again!

...so with this overriding...can i expect elemental wings? ...or wings of blades...so he can shoot feather blades? ...maybe use it as a shield...
...i am also assuming he has armour pericing attacks now...perhaps giga-drill breaker?
...since hes smart with games im guessing he can create new moves and combinations...possibilities are endless...as long as he got the will of mind...
...or maybe the brain would fry due to overuse?

Whenever one of the protagonists couldn't beat a bad guy, they would go in a time chamber and train for a long period of time that, in the real world, was actually no time at all. The time mechanics in Accel World are conveniently similar, so Haru could be gone for "days", but no one in the real world wonders where he is because only a bit of time has really passed.

Otherwise, as for the episode on a whole, it's pretty much as expected...

So, she does give him an ability, but the ability to use it comes from his inner strength, and really his whole ability to fly in the first place is more because of his will than because of the actual wings. Which makes sense because the wings aren't real. In other words, "Do you believe that [...] being stronger or faster has anything to do with [...] muscles in this place? Do you think that's air you're breathing now?"

I recently read another work that featured a protagonist who couldn't walk and wanted to fly, so the story's themes and elements seems very familiar to me, but I still think it was pretty fun. As some others have said, it was a bit of an oasis amidst all this turmoil, and Sky Raker is the right character for that role. Of course, the contrast between "Sky Raker" and "Dusk Taker" is rather... blatant... and next episode we're heading back for the other side.

This whole episode reminded me of the matrix with the whole mind of matter philosophy.

Sky Raker got the nice rack. I thought the flat chest is the requirement for joining Black Lotus' legion.

She has some resemblance to Asuna Yuuki. It would be a good dourin material.

I'm not sure if it's been released yet. There are three different soundtrack CDs, and only the first of the three has been released so far.

She's a level 8 so she should be quite powerful on her own.

I would also love to see Ash in NN but the problem is that unlike SR he's already in a legion, I dunno the rules about switching legions but if I remember correctly Cyan Pile got his ass beat for leaving the blue legion. Not only that but Ash seems to respect Sky Raker very much but doesn't seem to follow her or else he would be either legionless or formally part of NN like her.

As if it wasn't enough for him to be the only flying avatar, now he's the only avatar with a mouth.

(Chrome Disaster doesn't count. The 4th and 5th both had mouths, but that was revealed to be an effect of the armour since Cherry Rook didn't have a mouth either.)

Is it a fact that only Silver Crow has a mouth? Considering how Sky Raker was so frank about it, I'm guessing all avatars have the ability of the mouth, if only they visualize it. Besides, Ash Roller seems to have one as well.

As for Ash Roller, I don't see a problem with him requesting to resign from the Green Legion. He hasn't committed any crimes that we know of, and the Green King seems to be admirable as well. If worse comes to worse, when the defeat the Green King, Ash Roller can join then.

She seems like she's a great character, but I don't think I've really seen enough of her to be honest.

Next episode...I fear it's going to be worse than even the episode where Haru lost his wings. I only hope I'm wrong, but ugh...it just doesn't seem to bode well to me.

Oh yes, there seems to be alot to Sky Raker beneath the surface, and I think Haru picked a little of it up too.

Well, as far as the LN and anime goes, he seems to be the only one with a mouth that is actually of any use. Ash Roller's seems to be more of a mask than anything. When he talks it doesn't move.

For all you know, the real reason why Silver Crow managed to open his mouth might have been because Raker used the Incarnate System on him.

Well, Sky Raker makes food and offers food. I am guessing that she also eats them as well, so she probably has a hidden mouth that we never get to see.

That might be possible, though in the anime she is only seen offering Crow food and doesn't eat any herself. Food in the Accel World seems to be more for show than anything.

You know now that I think about it maybe the whole food think was part of Haru's incarnate system training and he didn't even know it. Remember Silver Crow never had a mouth until he wanted one to eat the food with.

I guess it was to show that with strong enough desires you can do almost anything in Accel World.

Here's what I'm wondering about Sky Raker (and I apologize if this has been discussed before, I haven't read through the entire thread). She said that Black Lotus removed her legs in-game after Sky Raker begged her to do it. However, in the Real World, she has artificial legs, complete with C-3PO-like motor sounds.

So which came first, the Real Life loss of her legs, or the in-game loss of her legs? How did she lose her legs in the real world?

My hunch is that she lost her Real World legs long before she became a Burst Linker. As we all know, the game avatar uses your Real Life traumas as a model. Being legless in the Real World is probably what enabled her to have near-flight capabilities in the game world.
