Even the DMC 3's skin? Are capcom and nt really that thick to think that people would suddenly buy the game because of this?

Or is it because their own original costumes are too ridiculous and uncreative?

DMC3 costume. Like said a million times over with NT. Hypocrites, never make your character say "Not in a million years", then later gets that look and a Disc Lock Costume.

Saying DmC is what the series needed is like saying Other M was worthy sequel to Super Metroid.

Also, hate to say it, but Dante looks alright with that costume, guess the hair does make things a little better, but don't tell no one. I'll get lumped in with the "You only hate it because of the hair" crowd

In cutscenes however, Classic Dante makes some funny faces

Older DMC titles have a way damn better design. Heck even Vergil was so downgraded here he needs to be saved via time slowdown or else he'll die in a car crash. =_=

And no, it's not an entirely different game. Not when you're trying to take the character, the setting and twist it around. That is what I call a fanfiction. Even games as Final Fantasy with different character and setting/world are being compared with each other.

DMC's story telling isn't what I'd call the best ever, but it's fun to watch. Just like how most of Disgaea's plot are nonsense, but they are just fun to read. They are not trying so hard to be edgy and serious. That's clearly shown just from the beginning part of DmC.

DmC ships 1 million, forecast lowered from 2 to 1.2 million.

DMC 4 shipped 2 millions back in 2008. So now they expect the game to sell 1.2 million until the end of the fiscal year.

This combination would make a fine game, maybe an idea for a sequel because clearly the secret ingredient was no match.

Jokes aside, if they decide to return to the roots and finish up Nero's story with all the old characters involved, i'd be wondering if they'd go for the next generation consoles or stick with the current one.
