His family owned a store out east, so they're not poor.
He was a 2nd lieutenant in the army, so he probably had a good salary.
Furthermore, he was injured in the line of duty, so he probably got a decent amount of money, as well.

The first raid has gone according to everyone's plan.

Mustang's force is effectively crippling the Central Army with no resort to slaughter the soldiers, which enrages the higher Echelions at becoming mad for feeling they're been underestimated.

It's thanks from Major General Olivier Armstrong that all those pigs are finally reaping their just graves and thrown to sink in their own mud.

Things couldn't get any better with the return of Maria Ross and Havoc, who procured and dispatched more caché of weaponry for his colleagues.

Now, it worries me what Pride's doing with playing stick for. The sounds feel more like a signal to Father traveling underground.

And there's also the grave issue that the army of dolls has been forced to wake-up to deal with the Mustang problem.

Yeah, I think it's pretty safe to assume that Pride is using Morse Code to alert his "father" of his predicament. I was at the edge of my seat when they revealed it in that particular scene, loved it
