We've been told and seen several times that purebloods have to do that since they arent that many. I dont see what the big deal is? Ok well I can see for ZeroYuuki shippers but in the mainstream of the manga its been explained. Her parents were siblings and needed to carry on the pureblood line so it makes since from that standpoint for her and Kaname to do that same. Of course whether it actually happens is up in the air but as Stream pointed out thats whats Matsuri-sensei does.

Not really. I agree with the first half. Obviously, she admits it herself, and I never doubted it for a second. However, it's not obvious (until the end, probably) what her feelings for Zero are. That's the hard part. In this special case, you're going to be hardpressed to prove that the sacrifices Yuuki makes, and how she reacts to Zero, is simply out of sympathy, unless Yuuki herself spells it out for us.

Aram/Zero sparred because Nakaoji/Kanme had lost patience with Aram/Zero who disliked Nakaoji/Kaname right from the start because he knew that Airi/Yuuki liked Nakaoji/Kaname heart.

Ali and Ann were born from the same tree, so they are brother and sister but wouldn't have the whole "we can't have kids because our blood is the same" thing. That's kinda different.

The real reason Pureblood Vampire Yuuki seems kinda dull compared to when she was a "human" is because she's a bit of a different person now, and she hasn't been getting much character development as "Vampire Yuuki."

Come chapter 35 and the recovery of Yuuki's childhood memories (among other things) Yuuki REMEMBERS Kaname as her brother, and indeed spent her early years with Kaname as her apparent brother.

However, Kaname is not her brother, and says so in chapter 36 (or maybe it was later in chapter 35). Additionally, in later chapters we find out what Kaname really is...an ancient ancestor of the Kuran bloodline that has been resurrected by Rido, the "arch-villian", so-to-speak, of the series. Speculation is that Rido put Kaname into someone else's body, Shuzuka-Maria style. At any rate, Yuuki's parents (who were pureblood Kuren descendents of Kaname) took in Kaname to be their "son". Reason for this is currently unknown in the series. However, with Yuuki's parents dead, and Kaname being an ancient resurrected ancestor who shouldn't actually still be alive, Yuuki is in fact heir the the Kuren, and therefore entire Vampire, throne.

Edit: I went ahead and changed the Yuuki and Kaname description section of WIKI myself, to more accurately reflect the current state of the manga.

Don't read it if you are an anime-only watcher, please.

I really like the KanamixYuuki pairing, kaname is so cool, and for some reason
i just cant STAND Zero. Yuuki really deserves someone better than Zero :3

In Yuuki's situation, i would pick Kaname, for what reasons?

Well 1st he's one gorgeous bishonen, and 2nd for some reason he seems more faithful and loyal, someone to trust and rely on. He seems a lot more calm and laid back.......

and Zero's so uptight and possibly even dangerous.

Onniguru post is correct. Kaname is an ancestor of the Kuran Clan. Though he's not her blood sibling he is related to her since she is also in the Kuran Clan.

hahaha that is so true...for some reason i can't stand zero either...not sure why, but is it just me or does the way Yuuki acts in the anime now a bit annoying esp with the whole zero blood sucking thingy
